Does anyone know if there are UK SEOMoz training courses I can attend?
-
I'd really like to find a one-day course where I could have it all explained and all my questions answered. I've been using SEOMoz for a month or so but I have many unanswered questions and feel that the user guide doesn't explain things, it just tells you what you can do, but not necessarily why.

Hi, thanks for your replies. I've been onto the Distilled site and have booked a seminar. I can't go to LinkLove unfortunately as I'll be on holiday that week but I've booked their Psychology of Link Building evening event at the end of this month. They are also running a SearchLove event in october that' I'll try to get to.

Hi guys! Unfortunately don't have specific training courses like this where we train people on using our product, however we do have weekly Help webinars where you can talk to us directly and ask questions. You can sign up for them here: http://www.seomoz.org/dp/welcome-webinars.
Additionally, Distilled has some great conferences in the UK and the next one coming up is LinkLove. You can get more information about that here: http://www.distilled.net/events/linklove-london/.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
I was so interested in this question I called them!
I'd like to know in order to learn quickly and efficiently (time is money right?) and because I'm a social media trainer and would like to be able to help others.
Unfortunately I couldn't get an answer immediately, but hopefully someone will get back to me, so I'll let you know if I hear anything. In the meantime have you looked at this link?
http://www.seomoz.org/mozcon-videos
It gives you access to training videos by SEO Moz (you'll need to purchase them) which might be useful, although they don't appear to provide answers on how to best use SEO Moz as a tool

Can you have same product name and description on a local and national site at the same time without getting dinged by google?
My question is regarding a few sites we own which are all related. The local site (http://location.company.com) is a extension of the national main site (http://company.com.) We are in the process of launching these new sites as replacements to older sites we created years ago. My first question regarding SEO is it important to the search engines to have unique product content on both sites even though they promote the same products (with same pictures) and brands or can we keep the same product names and descriptions as I hope? I ask this because essentially they are the same site but with with the exception of the local extension..... We thought by re writing all the content on the main pages of both sites along with different; title tags, page title and meta descriptions that that would make the sites different enough to get away with this. Is that the case? Thank you in advance for your assistance, Jake

How much dev knowledge as an seo do I need to know in order to make small changes on websites?
Hi mozzers I am considering learning some dev just to be able to make minor changes on websites. I love seo but will never want to be a programmer. I get sometimes frustrated that I have to request my dev colleague to make minor changes such as adding a small piece of codes to a website for verification purposes or adding rich snippet or modifying the ga code to get more out of it. I know some HTML and understands the core elements and attributes. My first question would be: what should I learn without learning A-Z of programming? My guess would be some php and? My second question: based on your answer where can I learn about these programs? Any interactive learning services such as team treehouse ? Any online courses? Thanks!

Market Motive - Take their SEO Course?
Hi there, I'm considering taking Market Motive's online SEO course for $3,500. It's a steep price for me so I wanted to ask you guys if this is a wise choice. The course would grant me certification and is around 90 days to complete. Has anyone had any experience with this course? It seems a little old, but Market Motive claims they update their videos.

SEOMOZ Glossary
Does SEOmoz have a glossary of terms. I answer many questions in Q&A and many people don't know what things stand for. "Uuhhhhh what's GWT?" "UUUUUhhh who's Matt Cutts?" "DDuuuhhhhh What GA?" I think it would be good to have a Glossary. SEObook has one, but I don't want to link from this forum to SeoBook. I want to keep it all in the Moz family of subscribers. (DDuurrrr, what's a SERP?)
