Does it sound like a linkwheel to you?
-
I have a small group of insurance related blogs and sites (20). I have been creating useful articles and linked them to my main site.
These sites are "not" interlinked and they are all in different C-classes ip. I was thinking in linking some of them to some other good resources that I have in article sites like ezinearticles.com with the idea of making my articles available to my readers and also increasing the rate that they get crawl by the bots. Maybe even boosting does pages Page Authority.
Thanks,
Gabe

You're welcome.
As long as you keep this interlinking between those blogs natural (and in order to benefit your visitors), you could do this, yes.
-
Thanks Theo,
I will link out from my sites to the article sites.
Just to clarify the blogs and sites that i control are "not" interlink and they are each in a different class ip. Been that the case could i also link some of does 20 sites to each other when is beneficial for the users?.

You seem to be linking in and out for the right purposes (providing additional value for your visitors), and don't plan to do it in extreme amounts. Even though all the interlinking between these sites might seem sketchy, especially considering they are from unique c-blocks I personally don't think this will get you in trouble, and might indeed get some boost in traffic and authority along the way.

An article we wrote was published on the Daily Business Review, we'd like to post it on our site. What is the proper way?
Part 1

We wrote an article and submitted it to the Daily Business Review. They published the article on their website. We want to also post the article on our website for our users but we want to make sure we are doing this properly. We don't want to be penalized for duplicating content. Is this the correct way to handle this scenario written below? We added a rel="canonical" to the blog post (on our website). The rel="canonical" is set to the Daily Business Review URL where the article was originally published. At the end of the blog post we wrote. "This article was originally posted on The Daily Business Review." and we link to the original post on the Daily Business Review. Should we be setting the blog post (on our website) to be a "noindex" or rel="canonical" ? Part 2 Our company was mentioned in a number of articles. We DID NOT write those articles, we were only mentioned. We have also posted those same articles on our website (verbatim from the original article). We want to show our users that we have been mentioned in highly credited articles. All of these articles were posted on our website and are set to be a "noindex". Is that the correct thing to do? Should we be using a rel="canonical" instead and pointing to the original article URL? Thanks in advance MOZ community for your assistance! We tried to do the leg work of our own research for the answers but couldn't find the exact same scenario that we are encountering**.**0 -
I have a mobile version and a standard version of my website. I'd like to show users some pages on the non-mobile site but keep googlebot mobile out. Is that ok?
On the mobile version not all the content of the normal site is available to the users. Since we didn't want googlebot mobile to index the non-mobile site, all the non-existent pages were returned with a 404 error. But now we'd like to show the mobile users these pages and send them to the normal site. If we allow the users to see these pages, is it ok to block googlebot mobile so these non-mobile pages are not indexed by googlebot mobile or will that create some issues for google?

What might make Bing.bot find a URL that looks like this on our site?
I have been doing something Richard Baxter recently suggested and reviewing our server logs. I have found an oddity that hopefully some of you smart Mozzers can help me figure out. Here is the line from the server log (there are many more like this): 157.55.32.166 - - [04/Mar/2013:08:00:59 -0800] "GET /StoreFront/category/www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/shure-se-earphones HTTP/1.1" 200 94133 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; bingbot/2.0; +http://www.bing.com/bingbot.htm)" "-" See how the www.ccisolutions.com appears after /StoreFront/category/ ? We used to see weird URLs reported in GWT that looked like this, but ever since we fixed our canonical tags to be absolute instead of relative URLs, they no longer appeared in our Webmaster Tools reports. However, it seems there is still a problem. Where/how could Bingbot be seeing URLs configured this way? Could it be a server issue, or is it most likely a data problem? Thanks in advance! Dana P.S. Could this be resulting from our massive use of relative URLs all over the site?

Does google like Category pages or pages with lots of Products on them?
We are having an issue with getting Google to rank the page we want. To have this page http://www.jakewilson.com/c/52/-/346/Cruiser-Motorcycle-Tires rank for the key word Cruiser Motorcycle Tires; however, this page http://www.jakewilson.com/t/52/-/343/752/Cruiser-Motorcycle-Tires is ranking instead and it has less links and page authority according to site explorer and it is farther down in the hierarchy. I am wondering if google just likes pages that have actual products on them instead of a page leading to the page with all the products. Thoughts?

Facebook Like button issue
In looking through my top pages in Google Analytics, my #2 page (oddly enough) looked like this "/?fb_xd_fragment=". Apparently, this is because we added the Facebook Like button to many of our pages. But I'm worried these show very skewed PageView data and lower Time Spent on each page. The average time on this page is 5 seconds whereas the average sitewide time is much higher. Further, it shows 9,000 pageviews coming from only 250 Unique Visitors. I'm sure this is messing with our SEO. Is there a fix for this? Should I even be worried about it? I heard that I can remove it from my GA stat reporting, but I don't want it to be causing problems in the background. Please advise..my boss wants to keep the Facebook Like button the pages as it has brought us some good response. The page that this is on is: www.accupos.com Maybe there's an alternate version of the Facebook Like that we don't know about... I would appreciate any help on this DM
