How often does the competitive link checker get updated?

I just found a link in the competitive link checker that links to a couple of my competitors. The checker says that i do not have a link on that page, but there is one.. i recently (last week) obtained that link. So that raises the question: how many times is the competitive link checker updated?

The Linkscape Index is not updated daily, a schedule of planned (& previous) updates can be found at https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule
The last update was on January 17th, so your link that you obtained last week won't be showing up just yet. It likely will be after the next update on February 29th (or the next time your site is crawled after that date).

Disavowing links and disavow tool
Hello, I have had a look on webmaster tools and Moz and can see lots of bad links on Moz only. I am thinking whether to disavow them and was wondering if you could you let me know if it is possible to have a look at your current disavow file? I do not currently know what links were included the previous time. Is there a way to check if there are any links in the file at all? I thought I would raise this question as there is a lot of negative info about the disavow tool.

Website data updates
Hello All, I have downloaded some reports for "following" links from SEO Moz and no doubt the report is very comprehensive. However, I know some links listed in the reports does have rel="nofollow" tag attached to it but it is list still shown that they are following links. Can some please guide be to understand why this has happened. Is it possible that SEO Moz has old data of our site because these changes were recently done (2-3 weeks before)..? OR Have I misunderstood following as dofollow..? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks, moosa.

What value am I getting from SEOmoz?
Okay, I've been using the trial version of SEOmoz for almost a week, but, I'm just not sure what to do with it to be honest. I'm not an SEO expert, so, a lot of the terminology and reports are confusing. So far the only thing I've found useful are the domain and page duplication errors, but, I can get the same info from Google Webmaster Tools. Am I missing something? We have a very simple site for a small business, not sure I can justify $99 per month for a service I don't really understand. Is this service more for SEO professionals than business owners? -Tom

Why would opensite explorer show a link from baidu result page with baidu as a linking root domain?
I found an old domain that has very high domain authority and one of its top linking root domains is baidu I clicked the link in ose and it took me to a baidu serp????? please explain...im happy to clarify if need be or give you the site in question just let me know what you think. I checked ose for the page authority of the serp page it was 50. would that page be helping the site in question to rank? or am I just dumb for asking this question One more thing I couldnt actually find a link to the page I was looking at in ose on the baidu result page.. thanks

Link from home page
I see an abundance of websites that don't link out at all, and there is no data available to seoMoz for the sites, some like http:// regal - diving dot com (trying not to get moderated AGAIN Innocent need to show which link and its a competitor kind of) are not linking to anyone else just internal links. How come they dont show info to SEOMOZ Should I link out from home page, is this detrimental does ANY single link from home page show google that I am not a PROPER web business. thanks

Hi is there any free ways of link building where you do not use exchange link sites. Also are there any free tools and paid tools that you can use to increase your links to your site. I have a couple of new sites and i am trying to bring more traffic to them through link building and other methods and trying to find the best way of doing this. Trying to understand how a website is getting higher than me with less links
Hi i am new to seo and trying to teach myself the best way to improve a site and the best way to use the tools on seomoz. The problem i have is. i am working on a page at the moment on a site. the page is called weight loss hypnotherapy http://www.clairehegarty.co.uk/weight-loss-hypnotherapy and i have around 130 links going to the page where as a site which is much higher than me in google has only around 5 links. I cannot understand with being new to seo how this can happen, can anyone please explain what i need to do to improve my ranking please. here is the site i am talking about that is higher than me www.weightlosshypnotherapy.co.uk/ any help would be great can anyone also give me a good example of a page before it has been optimised and a page after it has had this done.
