Just trying to find out everyones opinion on twitter and the best way to use it?
What is your opinion on Twitter, should i include customers past work, to develop a portfolio?
Keep it relevant, or just use hundreds of ###!! Will this not just become spammy?

Personally I will begin by following any accounts I feel may be influential or interested in the field I am marketing. Out of 'Twitter courtesy' you will see roughly 20-40% of these follw you back. If there are any particular accounts I want to follow me I will mention one of their previous tweets before following them. That tends to work to an extent.
Once I have a following, with the companies actual Tweets I tend to Tweet articles, videos, pictures etc that are relevant to their interests e.g. An article on 'Podiatry vs Chiropody' with each of the terms hashtagged.I'll only hashtag certain words I think are relevant to the tweet.
Rather than RT other tweets I mentioned the person and put the Tweet via @whoeveritmaybe.
Also I find it important to add some sort of opinion to the informational tweets. It gives the account an element of humanization rather than just looking like a bot pushing out articles.
Also important to respond to any mentions no matter how negative/random they may seem at the time.
This is quite an over simplisation (and there are a lot more things I do) of what occurs but I think you get the jist of what I'm getting at
P.S - I wouldn't use hundreds of hashtags - I think even though you'll appear in more #searches# it will reduce the chance of followers engaging and any click throughs on content you're pushing

Sam,
I am not a Twitter expert by any means but I will tell you my thought on how to: Don't get the feeds and inundate people with every piece of news no matter how relevant it might be to the genre you are in. When I look today at those who have capitalized on Twitter with envy, it is the ones who use it intelligently and personalize it. They are not just Tweety birds with no music, they are putting out tweets to individuals as well as on the whole. They are not tweeting 50 i am here, there, looky, looky. With moz, they occasionally tweet check this out. With some of the really good SEO's who are great bloggers they will mention others when they see something good and relevant.Early in the craze we put up a site (I won't tell out of embarrassment) and our social dept (one person) decided that we would put a feed, get it out, etc. It worked in terms of ego gratification in that in a couple of months we had nearly two thousand followers. But we didn't. We had two thousand who said they were for whatever reason.
Again, keep it simple, keep it relevant, humanize it. Target it to the audience you serve and make them want to see it. Make them want to know: What's Sam thinking today?

If you post on two Twitter accounts could be rated as duplicate content
I have a personal Twitter account which is building up, but I also have a Twitter account for my holiday letting agency and until now I’ve always separated the subject of the tweets and links to my websites but I’m using Buffer which automates your tweets in advance and so I included some of the links to my business holiday letting agency articles on my personal account and people seem to like them and have shared them, but is there any risks to doing that regarding duplicate type of content? At the end of the day some the people on my personal Twitter will be interested in my agency tweets about holiday accommodation, I just want to do anything which could be termed spam.

Does adding a twitter or facebook feed to a website help rankings in regards of providing fresh content?
I have been asked if this is a sufficient way to provide fresh content to a website, however I am unsure if Google considers this as "fresh content", and I can't seem to come across a clear answer. Any thoughts?

Instagram - Any ideas how this can be used for SEO?
If indeed Google does use social signals for ranking factors, how would you go about using Instagram for SEO (if it's even possible)? Thanks

Best Way to Build up Likes
Hello, What's the best ways to build up "Likes" on Facebook. A friend of mine wanted to buy likes and I'd like to give him an alternative. We're in the personal development training industry. We have a nice website 110 Likes No twitter or Google+ large number of past customers. The strategies have to be very non-abrasive as our fan base really cares a lot about us. In other words, it's not the kind of audience you can send mass messages to or do anything that would seem like sales or advertising. Thanks!

Best way to set up a directory / list site?
I have a domain called DownSyndromeBlogs.com There is nothing there now, but what I want to do is create a directory type site where I list lots of different blogs about Down syndrome (my son was born with Down syndrome, so it's a passion of mine.) Is there a good way to use that domain other than just a simple directory? Is it worth it to do some sort of "all top" like site? Maybe listing the RSS of each blog and pulling in a spinet of info? Or have people rank and view them? My purpose for buying the domain was two fold: 1. To give people searching for blogs about Down syndrome a good list of where to find them, and 2. To help direct people back to our site about Down syndrome, NoahsDad.com Another thing I was thinking about was somehow asking people to submit their site to DownsyndromeBlogs.com and perhaps ask for their email address or other contact info (since the people wanting to put their blog on the list would be the same people I would want to know about my main blog - NoahsDad.com) Or maybe there is another thing I'm missing all together..like making that some sort of 'social network' or buddy press for people wanting to blog about Down syndrome..but there are already many other sties out there like that. One thing I was curious about is SEO...if it's not a blog, and i"m not constantly putting up new and fresh content, will anyone ever be able to find the site via google search? (If that makes sense.) If I just do a directory page the page will be some what static and only updated when I add a new url. I'm open to any feedback / suggestions/ advice. Thanks.

Why do people try to get random pictures on the first page of reddit?
I'm fascinated with reddit. Yesterday I did an IAMA and got lots and lots of comments. In the comments I was able to refer back to some pages in my website which got me some traffic. I can see the benefit of getting your website featured on reddit. But, I'm wondering how people benefit from putting random pictures on reddit (that don't link to their sites at all.) Is there something that can be done with the link karma that you get? Am I missing something? btw...I just posted a random picture on reddit just for fun as I realized that my daughter has reddit pajamas: http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/k5kv3/i_just_noticed_that_my_daughter_has_reddit_pajamas/
