Hello,
Using the following code to display a facebook like box
http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-NLP-Coaching-Institute-of-California/187804434598142" data-width="198" data-height="320" data-show-faces="true" data-stream="false" data-header="true">
Getting "log in to see this content" when we're not logged in. Our Age setting is set to 13+
example image attached
Thanks

Good catch Jennifer!
That was it.
Thank you so much,
Bob

I wonder if it's because it's set to only show the page to users in the United States?

Hi Jen,
Thanks for the response.
My javascript is correct, I used HTML5, and I played with all of the 'manage permissions' settings in facebook with no luck
Age set to 13+
It happens with any like box I install, but I am currently using the one from http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/
Our site is nlpca(dot)com
I've attached an image of our 'manage permission' settings
Don't know what else to try
-
Hi Bob,
This is interesting, the code you have there looks right and usually if you have the age set to 13+ it's not a problem. One thing, did you add the Javascript to your page? I'm assuming you used this page: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/ to create the box right? And selected the HTML5 option? If so, then also make sure the correct JavaScript was added right beneath the tag.
I did a little searching as well and found this post on stackoverflow that might help http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7268100/facebook-likebox-showing-fine-but-only-if-logged - although it sounds like you're doing it right.
Hopefully this helps!
Jen

How to migrate social likes when moving blog domain?
Hi, Our blog currently is hosted at wordpress.com and we are planning to move it under mysite.com/blog. I've noticed that at the moment in the existing individual articles there are social likes for the reader to likes/follow the page. And we do have some likes from these social buttons e.g. in a particular article I receive 4 twitter likes/5 facebook likes from those social media buttons after the article body. After moving the blog would the articles lose the social likes? How would I manage it not to? I know that there is a wordpress plugin available to purchase: http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/redirect/ If I purchase it would it resolve my problem? Please help Thanks!

Facebook comments plugin moderation
Hello I am trying to integrate the Facebook social plugin http://developers.facebook.com/docs/...gins/comments/ into my website. So far I have included the HTML 5 code in my site and it is visible, but how can I moderate the comments before they are being posted? I have included into the header of the root of my site but when viewing the comments area on a page within my site I cannot see any moderation options? Hope this makes sense and someone can help Many Thanks

Facebook likes, search rankings, acquisition speed. Concern?
SEOs know that a rapid uptick in link acquisition speed can trigger a red flag within google. Is the same true of a FB Like campaign? I'm not up to speed on whether Google is believed to use Facebook Likes in its ranking algo. Should we treat a FB Like acquisition campaign like we do linkbuilding -- namely, throttle it so that there isn't a huge spike in growth rate for a short period? Surely FB might have internal algos that devalue 'astroturf' likes, but the core concern of this client is whether SEARCH RANKINGS might suffer if the FB Likes grow too quickly. My gut says no, don't be concerned. What do you think?

Facebook likes v fans
Hello, When I look at my site in opensiteexplorer it says my site has 79 Facebook "likes". But actually, it has 4,070. In another part of the PRO dashboard it correctly identifies 4,070 but calls them "fans". I thought if someone hit the "like" button they became "fans". So why is SEOmoz reporting the vastly different figures?

Does anyone know of a good place where I can make or have an iframe hosted for a page tab on Facebook?
I just want a simple place that will host an image for the tab. I don't want it to look cheap or tacky (obviously) Any suggestions?

How do you moderate facebook comments?
I added facebook comments to many pages on my site. Does anyone know how you can moderate (or even see) what comments have been left? If I go to facebook.com/insights for my website it tells me that I have had 15 comments this month. But, if I go to "popular pages" it shows me 1 page. If I click on that page I can see that one comment. But where are the other 14? I really like the idea that when people leave a facebook comment on my page it goes on their friends' news streams and then my site gets more exposure. But, if I can't moderate my comments that would not be good!
