Port 80 and Duplicate Content
-
The SEOmoz Web App is showing me that every single URL on one of my clients' domains has a duplicate in the form of the URL + :80.
For instance, the app is showing me that www.example.com/default.aspx is duplicated in the form of www.example.com:80/default.aspx
Any idea if this is an actual problem or just some kind of reporting error? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm willing to bet its an issue with their crawler as Robert mentions above.
While you wait on confirmation for this, make sure that your web server is not configured to serve to any unnecessary ports. For the vast majority of sites, you only need to listen to the default port 80. This apache doc may help you with this.

Anthony,
I can't tell you if this is the same issue, but Megan with SEOmoz just responded to a question re duplicate content:
http://www.seomoz.org/q/duplicate-page-content-and-titlesAgain, may be helpful, may not. But there was a bit of a bug.

Duplicate Content in WordPress Taxonomies & Noindex, Follow
Hello Moz Community, We are seeing duplicate content issues in our Moz report for our WordPress site’s Tag pages. After a bit of research, it appears one of the best solutions is to set Tag pages to “no index, follow” within Yoast. That makes sense, but we have a few questions: In doing this, how are we affecting our opportunity to show up in search results? Are there any other repercussions to making this change? What would it take to make the content on these pages be seen as unique?

Hi All, I am just new to Moz pro. We have a site that has 99/100 for its page optimisation score in Moz pro but it's still not indexed anywhere in the first 5 pages? Any ideas what I'm missing and how to start resolving?

How are you using Moz Content?
Hey people, I just subscribed for Moz Content and I am wondering how are other professionals using it as a strategy tool. Today I just released a blog post talking about how larger content impacts PA. Not a big deal. I would appreciate some ideas and insights.

Error in Moz duplicate content reports
Hi - I've run the Moz campaign on a client's site. Moz is saying that there are duplicate content errors, and when I look at the errors it is showing that they are all to do with the non-www URLs having being duplicated in the www form of the URLs. However this is not the case - all the non-www URLs are all 301 redirected to the www URLs. Is this an error in the Moz tool? Has anybody experienced something similar?

I want to create a report of only de duplicate content pages as a csv file so i can create a script to canonicalize them.
I want to create a report of only de duplicate content pages as a csv file so i can create a script to canonicalize them. So i get something like: http://example.com/page1, http://example.com/page2, http://example.com/page3, http://example.com/page4, Because I now have to open each in "Issue: Duplicate Page Content", and this takes a lot of time. The same for duplicate page title.

Can't find duplicate page content
Hi all. I'm trying to create a report to list all of my site's duplicate content that SEOmoz says we have. However when I click on the link it just shows me the title and description of the page. I don't know what the other page is that has duplicate content or what the duplicate content is. Where do I find this information? Thanks in advance!

Duplicate Page Titles and Content
The SeoMoz crawler has found many pages like this on my site with /?Letter=Letter, e.g. http://www.johnsearles.com/metal-art-tiles/?D=A. I believe it is finding multiple caches of a page and identifying them as duplicates. Is there any way to screen out these multiple cache results?

Duplicate page error from SEOmoz
SEOmoz's Crawl Diagnostics is complaining about a duplicate page error. I'm trying to use a rel=canonical but maybe I'm not doing it right. This page is the original, definitive version of the content: https://www.borntosell.com/covered-call-newsletter/sent-2011-10-01 This page is an alias that points to it (each month the alias is changed to point to the then current issue): https://www.borntosell.com/covered-call-newsletter/latest-issue The alias page above contains this tag (which is also updated each month when a new issue comes out) in the section: Is that not correct? Is the https (vs http) messing something up? Thanks!
