Opinions on SEOHosting.com - will this get me deindexed?
-
On a recent post in /r/SEO I mentioned that I used SEOHosting.com in the past, and it was met with several warnings that this could result in deindexation or penalization. I just wanted to know if there is anything to back this up.
I did some digging on my own and it looks like some of the private blog networks that got shut down recently were using SEOHosting.com, and they were speculating (screenshot of pertinent parts included below) that this is how Google was able to track down their network and shut 'em down. But I've also heard a lot of speculation that the smartest way for Google to map out these networks would be to create tons of content, submit it all, and look for patterns - which has me wondering what role, if any, SEOHosting.com played in taking down the private blog networks earlier this month.
Is using SEOHosting.com a legitimate concern? Is it a threat even to websites that meet Google's quality guidelines? Is it especially a threat to those that don't?
Any thoughts you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

This.
As for whether Google would penalize you simply for using a particular hosting provider, almost definitely not. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if Google keeps an eye on sites that have way too many links from a single DNS server.

Many SEO Hosting services use the same Domain Name Servers for their accounts and then you allocate a different Class C-IP once the sites are propogated.
This means that there is a footprint to follow especially as the Search Engines have easy access to Whois and DNS information.
You don't have to be a genius to do a query to match the SEOHosting DNS information against a Whois Database to compile a list of sites for reviews.

Ranking in .com .fr .de but not in my target .cz serp?
Hello, our website is targeted for the Czech Republic. When I monitor our rankings, we have very high rankings in all of the other SERPs like .com and .fr .de but we are in the very end of CZ serp. Not CZ is the only SERP where we have two languages (Czech which is on subdomain cs.domain.com and domain.com which is for english). Now i am concerned about the example.com. Why is it not ranking at all (very low in czech serp like 130 vs 10-15 in other serps) We have used href lang tags to specify the language I think Can it be because of my cs. domain is optimized for a keyword which is not the example.com keyword ? (I think this is not the reason) - my example.com domain optimization is for "Kids clothes in Czech Republic" but cs domain for "Used clothes in Czech Republic" is it a linking issue? Should I have more local Czech links? Im out of ideas.

How can I get a photo album indexed by Google?
We have a lot of photos on our website. Unfortunately most of them don't seem to be indexed by Google. We run a party website. One of the things we do, is take pictures at events and put them on the site. An event page with a photo album, can have anywhere between 100 and 750 photo's. For each foto's there is a thumbnail on the page. The thumbnails are lazy loaded by showing a placeholder and loading the picture right before it comes onscreen. There is no pagination of infinite scrolling. Thumbnails don't have an alt text. Each thumbnail links to a picture page. This page only shows the base HTML structure (menu, etc), the image and a close button. The image has a src attribute with full size image, a srcset with several sizes for responsive design and an alt text. There is no real textual content on an image page. (Note that when a user clicks on the thumbnail, the large image is loaded using JavaScript and we mimic the page change. I think it doesn't matter, but am unsure.) I'd like that full size images should be indexed by Google and found with Google image search. Thumbnails should not be indexed (or ignored). Unfortunately most pictures aren't found or their thumbnail is shown. Moz is giving telling me that all the picture pages are duplicate content (19,521 issues), as they are all the same with the exception of the image. The page title isn't the same but similar for all images of an album. Example: On the "A day at the park" event page, we have 136 pictures. A site search on "a day at the park" foto, only reveals two photo's of the albums. 3QolbbI.png QTQVxqY.jpg mwEG90S.jpg

Will you get more 'google juice' if your social links are in your websites header, rather than its footer?
Hi team, I'm in the process of making some aesthetic changes to my website. Its getting quite cluttered so the main purpose is to clean up its look. I currently have 3x social links in the header, right at the top, and i would really like to move these to the footer to remove some clutter in the header. My concern is that moving them may have an impact on the domains ranking in google. Website: www.mountainjade.co.nz We've made some huge gains against our competitors over the past 6 months and I don't want to jeopardise that. Any help would be much appreciated as i'm self taught in SEO and have learnt through making mistakes. This time however, with Moz, i'd rather get some advice before I make any decisions! Thanks is advance, Jake S

Do Sitespect links get indexed?
I put a link on one of my websites using sitespect because the next release is not for a few weeks. The reason for the link is to pass domain authority (SEO Juice) to the linked site. In my next release I will add the link in the actual code, but am hoping that from now till then google will crawl and index this link. So the question is, will google crawl and index links adding to webpages via sitespect? Here is the code: | * [http://www.](<a class=)yourdomain.com" class="" >YourDomain |

Why am I getting millions of links from my root domain to my subdomains?
My site's subdomains (us.example.com, de.example.com, etc.) are showing millions of links (in Google Webmaster Tools) from the root domain. This seems very unnatural to me. Any idea what would be cause this or is this? In addition, I just found out that we deliberately stop googlebot crawling GEO-IP redirects, so that when googlebot tries to crawl our UK, DE, FR, etc. sites, it is not redirected to us.example.com. I'm thinking they may be linked? Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have any thoughts about this site: web-archive-uk.com?
They have "archived" a lot of our content. We have high-quality content that has been copied by others. We are in the process of sending DMCA notices to the relevant search engines that have indexed these sites. As well as to the actual sites. Are we right to believe that copied content on 3rd party websites damages/diminishes the seo of our own site? (Leaving aside the straight forward theft issue.) BTW actually impressed by the swift responses from Google to DMCA requests.

Looking for someone to help get reconsidered in Google search.
Hi Guys, I need some extra hands and recently got some notifications from Google about unnatural links and this is something I've known about already. I've tried a few times to email webmasters but there is little to no results. I'm looking for some individuals that are great at getting reconsidered to Google. The site I am working on already is being ranked but this is a partial ban. Please PM me your rates and success with previous campaigns. Ideally, I want a flat rate for 100% guarantee reconsideration. TIA!
