Tumblr the next Squidoo?

What does SEO Moz think of all this SEO abuse that is happening on tumblr lately? I mean, it doesn't take much time to look around tumbler and realize pretty much every page looks like this:
http://staff.tumblr.com/post/454906416/blackberry-app
Below the post check out the "reblogged". With the correct settings in your tumblr profile, all you gotta do is click reblog on a couple tumblr pages and you get instant backlinks to your website from tumblr pages.
Some examples from this page:
aticards reblogged this from staff
mymuffincorner reblogged this from staff
contextual-links reblogged this from staff
It's actually a followed link if you reblog. if you just 'like' you end up with a nofollowed link.
Questions:
-
Why is tumblr so blind to allow this to happen
-
Surely google must be aware of this and devaluing links that come from tumblr posts?
Thoughts?
edit: 50 views and no responses. maybe my question isnt clear enough?

Like i mentioned in my post. If you "Reblog" the link is followed. If you "Like", the link is nofollowed. Tumblr is not randomly no-following certain users, that is not what is happening at all.
-
I checked the url you gave as example, several ot those spammy backlinks were nofollowed, but not all of them...
So there's definitely a choice by tumblr to follow the link or not,

Is rel=prev/next necessary for ecommerce?
We are currently not using rel=prev/next for paginated categories. My predecessor instead canonicaled paginated pages back to the parent. This obviously needs to be fixed. The pages should self-canonical. Is using the parameter handling function of Google Search Console enough, or do we need to have our dev team implement rel=prev/next?

I have implemented rel = "next" and rel = "prev" but google console is picking up pages as being duplicate. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

Website was hacked and is clean now. What to do next for Google?
Hai All, Website was hacked and is clean now. What to do next? Send a Reconsideration Request to Google through Google search console. How detailed should this request be? As detailed as possible? And how much time will it usually take before Google responds? Should I remove all infected URL’s that Google has indexed by using Google search console, remove URL’s? Or is this not necessary? (All the infected URL’s will give a 404 statuscode now) Regards, Maurice

Using cononical and rel=next / prev for single page app
Hi, We are currently working on a single page ember.js website which compares LED light bulbs (seriously...) the site is www.whichledlight.com the problem in question is www.whichledlight.com/bulbs we are using both rel=next/prev as well as cononical and wondering what affect this would have? all the canonical reference themselves I think, and are also present on the product pages. Our google impressions have dropped recently as well, so we are wondering wether or not this is having a negative affect in regards to how well google wants to play with us. Any ideas?

Next Gen Gallery Crawler Problem
I use the Next gen gallery plugin on my wordpress sites. The moz crawler reports a ton of high importance issues with this plugin because it creates duplicate pages It will have domain.com/page, domain.com/page/gallery, domain.com/page/gallery/1/, domain.com/page/gallery/2/ This is a pretty popular plugin so I am hoping there is some way of fixing this relatively easy. I can imagine i need to set up a rel canonical but there does not seem to be an easy way to do so. Thoughts?

Updated My Business Profiles & Still Not Ranking in Local SEO... What Next?
I have used Get Listed and a few other services to update my profiles for my company Health Care Associates (its a home health care agency). http:healthcareassociates.net. I have added pictures, categories, descriptions, key words, etc. and it doesn't seem to help. We are still not ranking in the search engines for "home care grand rapids", "home health care" etc. What else can I do to optimize the local search? Todd

What's next?
What's next with the tool? For SEOmoz users that have gotten their Crawl Diagnostics and On-Page issues under control, what's next? In other words, what do long-time SEOmoz users do with the tool? What ongoing weekly value do they get? Ranking reports? Link Analysis? It took me four weeks to resolve all my simple issues, which you can see in Crawl Diagnostics and On-Page reports. (It would have only take one week, if the tool crawled all my pages upon demand instead of only once a week.) But now that all my simple issues are resolved, I'm not sure what else to do with the tool. I don't want to hastily cancel the service, but I also don't know what else to do... I'd even pay more for an actual human to look in on me from time to time and tell me what to do next. But I'm self-motivating, so I'll try to figure it out.
