Silly question time.....

Can Open Site Explorer work on twitter profile pages? Or is the fact twitter is on https still an issue for crawling open site explorer?

Thanks for this. Guess the profile is not on site explorer site and also was curious about exploring the httpS domain but thanks anyway.

Hi

In OSE in the url box put in twitter.com/(twitter_name) and you will get results showing where the link for this appears.

Hi all, I work for a bicycle component manufacturer. We have a group of different facebook and twitter pages each covering different aspects of our market ie: mountain biking, road biking, and urban biking. I am wondering if it is possible to apply the keywords function of moz to my firm's individual facebook and twitter pages? I would like to be able to search for specific products that we have launched in the past. I am trying to collect the amount of social media responses we have received for certain products. It would be great if I could even search for sentiments about the products we have launched. Thank you!

How can a site not indexed on google still have 40+ Page Authority on OpenSiteExplorer?

Hey guys, I was revisiting the backlinks to my site and found a few that were not indexed on Google anymore. I confirmed this by typing site:"SiteAddress" in google and it retuned 0 result. Yet when i searched the same site on OSE (OpenSiteExplorer) yielded me a PA of over 40. I used to research sites on OSE to see if they are worth pursuing for a backlink but i am second guessing this because of this recent finding. Can someone please shed some light on this? Thanks!

Why doesn't OSE show results from sites like Wikipedia, YouTube, Twitter, etc.?

I know OSE used to provide link data from these domains. But I have been doing link profile lookups on sites that I know have links from these domains - and they don't show up in my results. Just to make sure, they don't even show up when I sort the sites by domain authority.

How can I export from Followerwonk into a Twitter List?

I use Hootsuite but can't see anywhere in there or find any other tools to import a text file of Twitter usernames into a Twitter list. Does anyone know how?

Does Google have a direct link with facebook and twitter?

Google monitor social media. What I'm wondering is do Google use the same tools we have on Facebook's API, Twitter's API etc to use in their SERPs Or do Facebook grant Google more detailed access to see who has liked links etc. I think it's quite an interesting point as surely I can push up my own count by repeatedly sharing my own links, which wouldn't be genuine. If Google had better access they could then determine what's been faked etc.

Twitter Page Authority Score?

I've been doing some competitive research in Open Site Explorer and many of our competitors have Twitter accounts very similar to ours. Their Twitter pages are usually one of the pages with linking to their website with the most Page Authority. The incoming links from Twitter are a "no follow" as you would guess. This has been the case for a large number of well ranking sites I have looked at. www.dremed.com also has a Twitter account at: https://twitter.com/#!/DREmed . However, Open Site Explorer does not list the Twitter link as an incoming link at all ( or if it does it has no Page Authority ). The Twitter account page seems very similar in nature to other competing Twitter pages. I'm not sure why it does not ALSO pull a high Page Authority score??? Do you know why this might be? In OpenSiteExplorer - how do I find out which in bound links were lost?

http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/www.homefinder.com/a!links The # of inbound root domains is ~3,100 and has remained relatively flat for a while yet we've been acquiring 1000's of new root domains that link to us. That said, we want to get some clarity on why the count has remained flat. It would be helpful if we could see which domains have stopped linking to us from one OSE index to the next. Is it really the case that we're losing links as fast as we're gaining them or is something else going on?
