Keyword competitiveness/research
-
I'm familiar with ranking factors and can get a pretty good idea of whether going for a keyword is realistic by looking at the seomoz keyword difficulty tool. As well as the % score it has a lot of useful information. There was an seomoz article a while ago that detailed how 100 or so experts determine a keyword's competitiveness. Does anybody have the link? Or just as good, any useful guides to interpreting the data to gauge how possible it is to compete? Thanks

A Solution to Keywords Being Grouped in Google Keyword Planner
Hi guys, I am trying to get search traffic for a list of keywords which I put together a few years ago for one of my clients, this was before Google made changes to their Keyword Planner. When I am adding the list into Google Keyword Planner it is "grouping" a number of the keywords/phrases together, and therefore removing 13 of the keywords from the original list of 59 keywords. Is there a way around this so I can get search volume for the original list, and not the cut down one? I am specifically using Google Keyword Planner as I want to get search volume for a number of specific locations in the UK. Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Exact Long Tail Keyword Wording?
Hi everyone! I'm currently doing long tail keyword research and I'm coming across keywords such as deer wall print for nursery for the main keyword "deer wall print" which doesn't really incorporate too well into a into a grammatically correct paragraph. Can I use something like **deer wall print for your nursery **or deer wall print is perfect for in a nursery? Does it have to be exact reproduction if I am trying to rank for a long tail keyword term/phrase?

Moz Keyword Competition Analysis Tool
Hi Just been having a play around with the Moz Keyword Competition Tool and noticed that the reuslts given in terms of exact match searches is different from the data in the actual Google Adwords keyword tool even though the Moz tool pulls its data form the Google Adwords index so technically should be the same right? Was just wondering if anyone else had noticed that or if I am missing something. All you help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Ways to research/brainstorm keywords for a unique non-profit?
We're looking for ways to drive traffic to our site through targeted keywords, but because our non-profit is unique (micro-loans for students in developing countries) it is unlikely that people will be using such a keyword. We're looking for other keywords to target searchers who might be interested in giving micro-loans for students or at least are interested in microfinance in general. Eventually we do want to win for keywords like "microfinance" but these are a little competitive for us right now. Any suggestions/ideas? NOTE: We're running a blogging contest soon which should be a great opportunity for links with specific anchor text.

Keyword Difficulty: High or Low?
Looked in the FAQ in the Keyword Difficulty tool but it didn't mention whether or not a higher % or lower % is better. I'm assuming that a higher % means that the keyword is more competitive, is that correct?
