Is Opensiteexplorer.org missing a lot of backlink data?

I was checking a few of my clients backlinks that recently got hit by the "penguin" update to possibly try and remove some of the potentially spammy links.
I ran reports in both opensiteexplorer.org and majesticseo and majesticseo brings back a ton more links, and these are sites that don't even have the max 10,000 backlinks that OSE should be bringing back. Does OSE bring back reliable backlink data? I'm starting to wonder.

OSE is not set up to show every possible link. It is showing the more relevant/significant links and most state that it shows about a fourth of the total. So, the question re: reliable, is yes it is reliable; the links shown are there and the PA/DA, anchor text, etc. are accurate. What it will not show is every link.
Also, it won't show newer links but if you look after a recent update is published and a link is not there, look again after the next and you should see the newer link.Best

I am hoping this is the right forum to ask this question. But, I was looking at my backlinks and noticed that I had some go to a page that resembles my site, but had porn words on it. however, it would link to a place on my site. Under more information it has a real link to my site. What is this? I noticed the domain authority was in I believe the 70's; but PA was in 40's. I am new, so can someone explain this. Fix Missing Meta-Description?
We have a Wordpress site. SEOMoz crawl diagnostics are showing 144 missing meta-description tags. The problem is that about 100 are blog pages: http://www.portlandpersonalinjuryaccidentlawyer.com/blog/page/15/ http://www.portlandpersonalinjuryaccidentlawyer.com/blog/page/16/ http://www.portlandpersonalinjuryaccidentlawyer.com/blog/page/17/ Etc. We have a meta-description for http://www.portlandpersonalinjuryaccidentlawyer.com/blog/ but not for every page.... is this a problem? How can we fix it? Thanks!

Data from Open Site Explorer to Excel
Hello, Im having a problem with the data I pull off from Open Site Explorer. Do I need backlinks?
Hi, My theory is yes I do. But the problem I have is a small budget and competitors who have a big one. My problem is we have a small number of external links and linking root domains. My profile from a domain analysis read like this in March and then May... External Followed Links - Mar 103 | May 257

Total Linking Root Domains ------- Mar 30 | May 55 As you can see, progrss is being made considering I do this part time for a family website. But what I need is a big bump in these numbers as my 3 compeitors are pulling in silly numbers such as 308, 7000 and 45000 external followed links. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to compete with this realisticy without spending a fortune? I am putting the time and effort in so anything you guys can do to help the better. I am using twitter and facebook quite a bit, and seen growth on Twitter go from 40 to 1,350 followers over 7 months. Visits to the site over 7 months have gone up 50% as well. However sales are still looking about 10-15% up on previous year. I need more links coming into the site don't I? And what is the most important part of the Domain Analysis, what shoudl I want to increase first and foremost? Any ideas? Cheers Will0 -
Why does it take so long for SeoMoz to update data?
I changed the Anchor Text of 4 40/100 MozRank sites 2 months ago, yet SeoMoz still shows the old Anchor text in the reports. Why is this taking so long? I also notice my inbound domains hasn't increased nor has my MozRank in 3-4 weeks. What's the turnaround?

My Campaign just picked up the .com.au site and is showing data
I've got a campaign set up here in SEOmoz and it appears that it just started picking up data for a site that is not mine. Our site is examplesite.com and i noticed that SEOmoz has begun including examplesite.com.au and is showing 20,000 302's from this site. The .com.au site is in no way related to our business and should not be tracked in our campaign. Has this happened to anyone else?
