SEO Tools; which ones can you NOT live without?
-
There's loads of free and paid SEO tools out there and I'm trying to find out which ones make up a common denominator for most professional SEOs.
-
Thanks for your response Ryan, I totally agree that the tools you use don't necessarily make you an SEO, it's how you use them that matters. With regards to Woorank I've only used the free version and I agree it's buggy but there's a lot of potential there. Thumbs up for your response pal.

Aside from the Google tools and the SEOmoz toolset (including OSE) I love the following tools:
SEMrush - keyword research tool
Raven - general SEO tools similar to SEOmoz but different. For example, they have a link tracking solution to track all links to a site.
AHREFs - new tool designed specifically to capture link data similar to OSE
WooRank - site evaluation tool which has lots of potential and is actively being worked on. Note, the tool has numerous bugs or questionable data but is still quite helpful and is very customizable.
Majestic - offers a toolset similar to Raven
Screaming Frog - site crawler
It is important to understand all current SEO tools I have used are just one tool in an arsenal of knowledge, tools and experience used by SEOs to perform their job. A SEO tool does not make one an SEO consultant any more then a wrench makes someone a mechanic. Many tools have seem simple but they have nuances and various limitations which are learned over time through constant use.
The above tools are all paid tools. There are numerous other tools for everything from comparing headers, generating site maps, generating heat maps, etc. A large book can be written strictly focusing on SEO tools. There is a lot of ground to cover.

Who else has inaccurate reporting? SEO Moz BUG
I have been in contact with support to little avail no timelines for the correction kind of leaves me out in the cold. I have loved SEOmoz in the past but this recent bug is costing me time and money. Can someone please tell me how they are working around all these issues in rank reporting and a zero accuracy rate on page report cards? bugs are holding up my SEO efforts. SEOmoz has been in touch but has provided no timelines. My programs are suffering. I found inaccuracy in each report metric and now have very little faith that this is going to be corrected in a timely fashion. I rely greatly on the wonderful tools SEOmoz provides and now I am flying blind. Who else has been hit by the bug? And, what has support done for you to help?

Keyword rankings tool not fully populated today?
I logged in today and my rankings are normally crawled on Thurs, and of my 66 keywords only 6 of them are showing any data - the rest are all blank. It's been going for weeks so it's not like it doesn't have it's initial data yet. I presume this is some issue or artifact that the results haven't been input yet. Can someone help answer this?

I am looking for the SEOmoz Term Extractor Tool and it's nowhere to be found. Does it exist anymore? If not why and what would be a good alternative tool to use? Thank you.

Can the link acqusition tool / web directory list be used for non-english language enquiries?
Hi there, We are currently in the trial period of seomoz pro and have been testing all of the availiable tools. We are very happy with OSE and the other professional tools however we have discovered a barrier in our research methods. 1, Does anyone know how can you use the link acqusition assistant for non-english enquiries? The suggested search queries that are automatically generated are "submit site" "submit url" etc, but this has almost no use for a non-english keyword. - Also are the results only displayed for google.com - is there no localization at all of search enquiries? 2, The list of directories provided by seomoz link: http://www.seomoz.org/directories are anglo-centric. What are the availiable options for non-english speaking directories / local directories NOT based in the United States? Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated!

GWT data v SEO Moz data
I'm sure there's a simple explanation but I can't find it- Looking through the GWT avg position data v SEOMoz ranking data and Market Samurai data there is a large discrepancy. For one term that we hold #1, and have held for a month or two GWTis showing that the avg position is 180 (and down 30). Any reason you know of why the GWT avg position data would be so out of whack with our SERP's and other data? Thanks.

Can I do a campaign for just a page?
We've been doing a lot of building and work on just one category page, but when i try to put it in the campaign it won't let me do any url that has a sub folder like www.mainsite.com/keyword-page. I can only do www.mainsite.com, and when i select the other campaign options like root domain or sub folder, roger pops up with an error. Is anyone else having this problem?

Incorrect domain authority result on SEO tool bar and OSE
The SEO tool bar is returning what I believe to be an incorrect domain authority of 71 and showing 24,356,141 lins from 153,051 domains. The OSE is also returning 71 as domain authority. Anyone know what could be doing this? Thanks. Jason
