Keyword Ranking
-
Soooooo, let's just say that I put a lot of keywords into the ranking tracker. Is there an easy way to reduce this list without having to go in word by word and pause or delete them? Like is there a bulk upload type of system?
Thanks!
-
Yes there is this route... http://www.seomoz.org/blog/tracking-organic-ranking-in-google-analytics-with-custom-variables

Although you cannot keep the historic data in the system if you delete the keywords, you can export your entire ranking history to csv for reference.

Thanks!
I had a feeling there was no easy way to do this without losing my history.

Your question has two parts to it really.
Is there an easy way to reduce this list without having to go in word by word and pause or delete them?
Unfortunately if you have started a campaign and want to keep the historic ranking data of certain keywords whilst removing others then you have to manually remove the keywords you no longer want. Otherwise you will lost the historic data.
Like is there a bulk upload type of system?
There isn't a bulk upload option but there is a way you can simplify the task. As Donnie says, you can upload a comma separated list of keywords. If you are downloading a list of keywords from google to upload or you have a list of keywords on separate lines, just put the words into a text editor and use regex to replace line breaks with a comma (replace \n with ,). Then you can simply copy and paste into SEOmoz.
If you do not need the historic data then you can just follow this method.
Hope that helps,
Adam.

Thanks Donnie!
But I don't want to lose my history for the keywords. Any other ideas?

Yes you must first start a new campaign with your website. Once you have the campaign you can add multiple keywords by placing commas or spacing them one keyword per line. SEOmoz users get to set up 5 campaigns and run reports on a total of 300 Keywords.

Way of including Keyword into content
Hi all! My website is that of a large 7 bedroom luxury villa in Barbados (www.bruadair.com). Now, I am having problems understanding how i can include my targeted keywords in to my content without it looking unnatural and disrupting the quality of the content. I wish to use the keyword phrase 'Large luxury villa in Barbados' however including this directly into on-page elements seems to look unnatural. My current content on my home page is as follows 'Bruadair is a large luxurious villa situated on the prestigious Platinum West Coast of Barbados, located in a beautiful tropical setting with gorgeous beaches just minutes walk away' I want to rank for this keyword however changing to 'Bruadair is a large luxurious villa in Barbados, located in a beautiful tropical setting with gorgeous beaches just minutes walk away' degrades the quality of the content... is there anyway i can get round this issue? I greatly appreciate any help/advice given to my problem! Thanks once again, T

Keyword management - where do i start?
Hi all, i am a starting out SEO. I have recently been browsing our keyword rankings report and noticed that we are very low down on some quite key search terms. I therefor want to focus over the next few weeks, on bringing us up the rankings for these specific terms. Apologies if this is a very basic one, but**,.... I dont know where to start!** I would be very interested if anyone can give me some advice on a plan of action. What actions should be in my action plan? For example, if i wanted to improve our rankings on the following: English school in malta Learning english in malta English classes in malta

Invisible Long Tail Keywords
I've been doing some research on SEOmoz and have seen some posts relating to invisible long tail keywords. I have a couple of questions relating to this: Am I correct to understand that an invisible long tail keyword won't show any search in a tool like the Google Keyword Tool? If not, how do you define it? If an invisible long tail keyword has almost no search (or search that can be proven by an SEO researcher), how can you be confident that it will produce results?
