SEOmoz showing crawl errors but webmastertools says no errors, need help!
-
Hi this is my first question and i couldnt find a similar question on here. basically i have a clients website that is showing 150 duplicate page titles and content errors plus others. SEOmoz analysis is showing me for example is 3 duplicate hompage URLS: 1.www.domain.com 2.domain.com 3.www.domain.com/index.html all 3 are the same page. after explaining to the guy (who built the website) the errors, he ensured me that the main URL is URl 1. and the other 2 are 301 redirects. however SEOmoz analysis doesnt seem to change the results and webmastertools doesnt seem to show any errors at all. also if i try all 3 URL's there are no redirects to URL 1. any help or clarity would be awesome! Thanks e-bob

Hi Bob,
If Seomoz is picking up errors that Googlebot isn't then it could be something to do with your robots.txt, maybe you have it blocking one part of your site for Googlebot, however rogerbot isn't blocked so it is picking up errors that Google can't reach. I also believe that Rogerbot is a little bit more strict as well so this could also be why.
For the 301 problem it seems like they haven't been installed correctly, if you can access URL 3 and 2 without being sent straight to URL 1 by your browser then the 301 has failed.

HI,
If you can provide your URL then I can check the redirects for you, or you can try the 3 url's using this tool
http://www.internetofficer.com/seo-tool/redirect-check/
It sounds like the 301 hasn't been implemented correctly as SEOMoz should pick that up.

Need help locating a 404 link
My reports are showing a 404 error for a link to a page in our WP site for which we changed the URL months ago. I can't find where the link is coming from. I used Screaming Frog, but can't find where it might tell me the origin of the link, only that it exists. I am pretty sure it's internal. Can someone please tell me how to find the originating page so I can remove the link without having to comb through every page of the site to look for it? Thanks!

SEOmoz Campaign Setup: What would you do?
I've been using moz for nearly a year now. Initially when I set up our site (rac.com.au) it was as a single campaign for the rac.com.au domain. However, our business has a number of different product offerings and marketing teams (Insurance, finance, travel/tourism, automotive, security etc) - would I be better off setting each of these 'sub' brands as a campaign on their own using the 'folder' campaign setup? For example, have a campaign setup for the Insurance business (rac.com.au/insurance) folder, Finance business (rac.com.au/finance) and so forth? The advantage I see to the folder campaign setup is more specific reporting for each of the business units. Are there disadvantages to this? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Ryan

Moz crawling
Hi Everyone! I'm new to the SEOMoz and wanted to find out if there is a way to decrease the waiting time for the campaign crawl. I have made a lot of changes based on the first crawl and would like to see how these are reflected on the reports, but can't until the next crawl is performed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

An error in the SeoMoz On page note?
Hello folks, Whenever I go the OnPage link in SeoMoz some of my links show a F ranking note. And when I click in one of them to see the detail of the page rank, it shows me as an A ranking note. Do you have seen the same problem? Which note shall I rely on? Thanks!!
