What has happened to my page rank
-
hi my page rank for the site www.in2town.co.uk was page rank four and then last week it went down to page rank 2 and now my page rank is 0. i really do not understand what has happened.
can anyone please give me advice on what is happening

The page rank for your website is 2, thats what i can see.
Most important thing for you is to see if there is any dramatic change in traffic, rankings and pages indexed by google.
You also have to check inner pages PR, if these pages also have drop in PR as compared to past?
Do also check for warning in google webmaster tools.
If Answer for above questions is NO, don't worry and focus on your Linkbuilding and other SEO efforts.

If your traffic, conversions, and rankings haven't changed, I wouldn't sweat losing a few green pixels on a toolbar.

nothing has seemed to have changed. the page rank tool i am using is the firefox tool bar so there must be something wrong.
I need to try and work out why i have lost two page ranks. i use the pr sites a few times a month to promote things so maybe i should stop using them and i have now pointed most of my lost links to relevant pages as well as to my home page.

Toolbar page rank (which is the PR that you're seeing) is only updated infrequently and doesn't necessarily reflect the internal Page Rank that Google uses. More important questions are:
Have you had any warnings or notices in Google Webmaster Tools?
Has your traffic from Google changed?
Have your conversions changed?
Have your rankings changed?
-
That's a little bit of a hard question to answer. Believing that nothing's changed with your website, over that time, and assuming you have original content, I'd take a look at your backlinks. I see that you have a handful of links with joolma and press release websites, that might be the culprit right there. Google's always looking to devalue those links.
Also, your website's showing up as a PR2 to me.

Does adding subcategory pages to an commerce site limit the link juice to the product pages?
I have a client who has an online outdoor gear company. He mostly sells high end outdoor gear (like ski jackets, vests, boots, etc) at a deep discount. His store currently only resides on Ebay. So we're building him an online store from scratch. I'm trying to determine the best site architecture and wonder if we should include subcategory pages. My issue is that I think the subcategory pages might be good from a user experience, but it'll add an additional layer between the homepage and the product pages. The problem is that I think a lot of user's might be searching for the product name to see if they can find a better deal, and my client's site would be perfect for them. So I really want to rank well for the product pages, but I'm nervous that the subcategory pages will limit the link juice of the product pages. Home --> SubCategory --> Product List --> Product Detail Home --> Men's Ski Clothing --> Men's Ski Jack --> North Face Mt Everest Jacket Should I keep the SubCategory page "Men's Ski Clothing" if it helps usability? On a separate note, the SubCategory pages would have some head keyword terms, but I don't think that he could rank well for these terms anytime soon. However, they would be great pages / terms to rank for in the long term. Should this influence the decision?

Does google like Category pages or pages with lots of Products on them?
We are having an issue with getting Google to rank the page we want. To have this page http://www.jakewilson.com/c/52/-/346/Cruiser-Motorcycle-Tires rank for the key word Cruiser Motorcycle Tires; however, this page http://www.jakewilson.com/t/52/-/343/752/Cruiser-Motorcycle-Tires is ranking instead and it has less links and page authority according to site explorer and it is farther down in the hierarchy. I am wondering if google just likes pages that have actual products on them instead of a page leading to the page with all the products. Thoughts?

Have a client that migrated their site; went live with noindex/nofollow and for last two SEOMoz crawls only getting one page crawled. In contrast, G.A. is crawling all pages. Just wait?
Client site is 15 + pages. New site had noindex/nofollow removed prior to last two crawls.

Too many on page links for WP blog page
Hello, I have set my WP blog to a page so new posts go to that page making it the blog. On a SEOmoz campaign crawl, it says there are too many links on one page, so does this mean that as I am posting my blog posts to this page, the search engines are seeing the page as one page with links instead of the blog posts? I worry that if I continue to add more posts (which obviously I want to) the links will increase more and more, meaning that they will be discounted due to too many links. What can I do to rectify this? Many thanks in advance
