Why can't I change the domain being tracked in my campaign?
-
Apologies if this has already been answered a million times and/or if I'm posting this in the wrong place... I did look, but couldn't find the answer anywhere...
I just realized that all this time I have been tracking www.mydomain.com in my campaign for a long time now, while I should probably have been tracking *.mydomain.com. I wanted to change this, but it looks like I can't. If I have to set up a whole new campaign, with all of the same keywords, competitive sites to track, etc., that will take forever.
Why can't I just change it so that my campaign starts tracking *.mydomain.com instead of www.mydomain.com from now on?
Thank you!

Why can't I change the domain being tracked in my campaign?
There are issues due to the campaign tracking historical information. In order to change the domain, you need to create a new campaign. I had asked this same question previously and Megan provided the helpful response below:
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for writing in!
Unfortunately, the tool doesn't allow the domain of a campaign changed once it's setup. It's limited in that way, because if the parameters of a campaign were constantly changing, it could make it extremely difficult to interpret historical data in terms of why progress was or wasn't made.
You'll need to set up a new campaign with the domain, but you can archive your current campaign so that you'll have all of the historical data for reference. Also, archiving doesn't take up a campaign slot.
I hope that helps!
Have a great day,
Megan

Parked Domains and Local SEO
Hi, I wanted to know what your thoughts were on **Parked Domains **and Local SEO. I came across a company that has a lot of parked domains that were created for different countries. i.e. xxxxx.co.uk, xxxxx.ch, xxxxx.com etc. The content they load are from the main domain xxxxx.com I went to a country specific Google search, for instance google.co.uk and google.ch Searched for the company name and xxxxx.com showed up, not the parked domains that existed for each "country" No analytics exist as the tracking code is on xxxxx.com so I can't see if any specific traffic goes to xxxxx.ch, or other domains. From my understand, parked domains lead to unnecessary duplicate content. So why have them? Simply setup a redirect to xxxxx.com from the parked domain. But are there benefits for Local SEO? Search engines like google will still see the domain as a separate entity if no redirect is in place. If so, I realise content has to be unique..but it raises a question... Why have parked domains at all apart from stopping your competitors or users typing other variance of your URL? What do you guys think?

Domain Authority
Hi, I've been adding links to my site on directories, article sites and relevant industry blogs. I've also been given and a budget for Google Ads, which has also increased traffic. In the last week my Keyword positions have risen. However, my domain authority has reduced. I know the most important thing is improving traffic and keywords but I'd like to know how I can improve my domain authority. What is causing it to reduce and how can I improve it? Cheers,

Oh my gosh a gender change
When I wasn't looking, I became a "Journeyman". Hooray for me, but I kinda liked being female. ;o) Is there such a thing as a Journeywoman? (couldn't resist- please excuse me if anyone objects to completely inappropriate "questions")

How can I increase my domain authority score?
We've jumped up in our rankings, page authority scores, and our toolbar PR over the past year, but our domain authority score remains the same as it was this time last year. I have noticed that for most people's sites, domain authority is typically higher than page authority, and my suspicion is that our domain authority score staying static is capping our page authority potential to some degree. Our SEOmoz scores are quite low for our toolbar PR. I've looked at the SEOmoz page relating to domain authority, and it rather vaguely says 'improve SEO generally across your site'. Other than age, the only thing I can think of is that maybe we have backlinks ranging across too broad a spectrum of topics. Being a web hosting company, we get a lot of links from our customers' sites that aren't related to our industry. Anyone got any specific advice? To provide some context, it's a PR7 website that's around a decade old with links in the hundred thousands. We score just 59 for domain authority. Thanks in advance, Jenni

Trifecta Report (domain)
Recently i have found that the data in the trifecta report is becoming less complete. For the last few sites i found that the report returned about half of the metrics it was looking for. For instance, it mentioned that one of the domains did not have a dmoz or wikipedia link/page even though they had both? Also, it rarely returns the Yahoo Site Explorer metrics even though when clicking to see the source the data is there? Are you guys planning on phasing out this tool, if not it seems like some work needs to be done on cleaning it up. Thanks!

The value of .uk.com domains
It was a long night last night (working, not playing), therefore forgive the potential stupidness of this question... Running an OSE report on a website earlier their top linking domain was *.uk.com. This is a valid TLD, and I know for sure that the website has not acquired links direct from the uk.com website but from some-other-registered-domain.uk.com. What I am asking is does the Moz Calculation and/or the pagerank calculation give more value to these links? *.uk.com has a Domain Authority of 71 and 156,497 linking root domains. If so i'm gonna go buy me a bunch of .uk.com domains..... Opinions please.

Can you freeze my account?
Hi there, I was wondering if there was a way for me to freeze my account, e.g. make it inactive for some time and then reactivate it later, and keep all of my old info and settings. It would really encourage me to use your services again after a break/vacation/budget cutbacks. best, Rosa
