Competitive Link Analysis
-
How can I make the a new report for the Competitive Link Analysis? My report has a date from two weeks ago and I would like to see an update.
-
Hi Crystal,
Mike is correct - the Linkscape report will stay the same until there is a new crawl. Sometimes these have been coming in in as little as three or four weeks, and there is lots of effort to make this as fast as possible.
Cheers

It only updates when Linkscape is updated, about once every 4-6 weeks. The schedule is here: http://apiwiki.seomoz.org/w/page/25141119/Linkscape-Schedule
Last update was Apr 5, so next will probably be mid-May. I believe SEOmoz is working on making the updates more frequent as many of us would love that...

DA as a measure of link-building success/failure?
Hi all 😃 What would be a good way to track weather a website is doing good or bad in regards to link-building in google's eyes? Is the Domain Authority the best credential? If a website is penalized for link-building schemes, would it reflect on the Domain Authority shown in Moz Analytics? What other Moz score would reflect this scenario? Best regards & Thank you for your help. Carlos

Inbound links not found on OSE
I have live inbound links for the site htp://vpnexpress.net, but OSE reports nothing found. How long does it usually take for them to index high PR site links? Thanks.

Does MozAuthority calculates the MozAuthority of each incoming link?
Hey Mozzers! So as I'm checking MozAuthority as a primary parameter to determine if a co-operation with a website is worthwhile, I did notice that it's mainly based on QUANTITY of inbound links. My question is this: Does my site's MozAuthority calculates The same parameter from each incoming link? Example: My site, www.google.com, has 5 incoming links from low MozAuthority domains. Your site, www.facebook.com, has 5 incoming links from medium MozAuthority domains. His site, www.yahoo.com has 5 incoming links from high MozAuthority domains. Will the 3rd case necessarily have a higher MozAuthority than #1 and #2?

Another link profile tool available
SEOMoz Link Analysis tool apparently doesn't have any info on my clients site - www.tricitymech.com according to the response from Open Site Explorer. Is there a free tool available that doesn't use OSE that you could recommend?

Broken Links and Duplicate Content Errors?
Hello everybody, I’m new to SEOmoz and I have a few quick questions regarding my error reports: In the past, I have used IIS as a tool to uncover broken links and it has revealed a large amount of varying types of "broken links" on our sites. For example, some of them were links on my site that went to external sites that were no longer available, others were missing images in my CSS and JS files. According to my campaign in SEOmoz, however, my site has zero broken links (4XX). Can anyone tell me why the IIS errors don’t show up in my SEOmoz report, and which of these two reports I should really be concerned about (for SEO purposes)? 2. Also in the "errors" section, I have many duplicate page titles and duplicate page content errors. Many of these "duplicate" content reports are actually showing the same page more than once. For example, the report says that "http://www.cylc.org/" has the same content as "http://www.cylc.org/index.cfm" and that, of course, is because they are the same page. What is the best practice for handling these duplicate errors--can anyone recommend an easy fix for this?

How do I find the most linked to page of a site?
I'm looking at a site for a potential link and am trying to find the most linked to page. The SEOmoz toolbar tells me the root domain (DA) is linked to by 660 root domains but the main URL (PA) is linked to by 38 root domains. I used open site explorer and got the same # of 38 root domains in the result. From the Top Pages tab, I clicked on the 2nd page down and the SEOmoz toolbar gives me 189 root domains linking to that page (PA). Then I ran a Linkscape report to see what that would say and I get 146 linking root domains. 1. Is this 2nd page down on OSE the most linked to page? 2. a. Is something off in these numbers?
