Webmaster Index Status - Not Selected > Ever Crawled
-
Hi Mozzers,
I would like to keep it short, while checking the Index Status in my Google webmaster tools, I noticed that the number of URLs "Not Selected" is more than the no. of URLs under "Ever Crawled" the difference is also a large no, a 5 no. figure. Does anyone seen a similar pattern or any insights on this would be quite helpful.
Cheers,
-
Akhil.
You have probably blocked googlebot, with canonical tags or "noindex" or robots.txt or 404
They would have tried to crawl those pages and failed or they were possibly told the page was not to be
indexed for some reason.

Rigth Cesar! and to add to it, that is only increasing..
Anyone, any takes on this ?
-
I have not had that happen to me, but TBH that sounds kind of buggy. Every Crawled should never be less than "Not Selected" You might want to submit a ticket for that to Google. Google has to crawl a page before it can make a decision on it.

Internal Links issue in webmaster
we implemented our website on the basis of WordPress, then we migrate our website to PHP (YII Framework). after a while, we found out an issue around internal links which they were increasing severely. when we check our landing pages in webmaster (for example Price list), in contains 300 internal links but the reality is that there are no href tags on this page. it seems that webmaster calculate most of our links with the links of a single page and show them to us. is it natural or a mis configuration has been happened? Removing indexed website
I had a .in TLD version of my .com website floated for about 15 days, which was a duplicate copy of .com website. I did not wish to use the .in further for SEO duplication reasons and had let the .in domain expire on 26th April. But still now when I search from my website the .in version also shows up in results and even in google webmaster it shows the the website with maximum (190) number of links to my .com website. I am sure this is hurting the ranking of my .com website. How can the .in website be removed from googles indexing and search results. Given that is has expired also. thanks
