The value of .uk.com domains

It was a long night last night (working, not playing), therefore forgive the potential stupidness of this question...
Running an OSE report on a website earlier their top linking domain was *.uk.com.
This is a valid TLD, and I know for sure that the website has not acquired links direct from the uk.com website but from some-other-registered-domain.uk.com.
What I am asking is does the Moz Calculation and/or the pagerank calculation give more value to these links?
*.uk.com has a Domain Authority of 71 and 156,497 linking root domains.
If so i'm gonna go buy me a bunch of .uk.com domains.....
Opinions please.

Great Question Scott. This particular domain has stumped several other people.
uk.com is not a valid cc tld. The proper cctld for the uk is .co.uk. What you're looking at is two-letter rootdomain on a .com. It's just like shoes.com or anything else. People can basically buy subdomains from the owner of the uk.com rootdomain and host their websites there. As you can see, it's a clever strategy because they get alot of diverse incoming links from all the subdomains they sell on their root domain. Pretty clever, huh?

This is the second one of these that I have seen when a uk.com domain was mentioned, and I think it's an error like you say.

It's a tricky problem because the domain uk.com is valid as a domain (this has since proven not to be the case) as well as a suffix.
EDIT: Ooops on my part, see Sarah Bird's answer, she is entirely correct.

My client is in the Custom Scale Model industry. They build Custom Aircraft Models, Custom Ship Models and more. Their competitor's Backlinks reports have a Ton of metrics coming from: http://www.keywordbasket.com and https://www.keyword-suggest-tool.com There is line after line of these entries in the backlink report. As much as 50 line entries. what exactly is happening here? Are they manually using these tools to generate search entries and caching this data in the form of Backlinks? Parked Domains and Local SEO
Hi, I wanted to know what your thoughts were on **Parked Domains **and Local SEO. I came across a company that has a lot of parked domains that were created for different countries. i.e. xxxxx.co.uk, xxxxx.ch, xxxxx.com etc. The content they load are from the main domain xxxxx.com I went to a country specific Google search, for instance google.co.uk and google.ch Searched for the company name and xxxxx.com showed up, not the parked domains that existed for each "country" No analytics exist as the tracking code is on xxxxx.com so I can't see if any specific traffic goes to xxxxx.ch, or other domains. From my understand, parked domains lead to unnecessary duplicate content. So why have them? Simply setup a redirect to xxxxx.com from the parked domain. But are there benefits for Local SEO? Search engines like google will still see the domain as a separate entity if no redirect is in place. If so, I realise content has to be unique..but it raises a question... Why have parked domains at all apart from stopping your competitors or users typing other variance of your URL? What do you guys think?

302 Status Code for .com but 200 Status Code for .com/
I ran a moz crawl report for one of my sites. For mywebsite.com I'm getting a 302 HTTP Status Code but for mywebsite.com/ I'm getting a 200 HTTP Status Code. mywebsite.com -Title tag "blank" - Meta Description "blank" - HTTP Status Code "302" - Referrer "blank" - Content Type Header "blank" - 301/302 target "/" - Rel-Canonical Target "blank" mywebsite.com/ - Title tag "correct tag" - Meta Description "correct tag" - HTTP Status Code "200" - Referrer "mysite.com" - Content Type Header "text/html" - 301/302 target "blank" - Rel-Canonical Target "mysite.com/" Will this cause any issues with the search engines? Is there a way to fix this? I'm on wordpress and use Yoast SEO premium plugin. I have sites ranking in many different niches and have done similar white hat SEO for all of my others. They are ranking in competitive niches but for some reason this site is in the 200-300s for basically all keywords in not a very competitive niche. It has excellent content, links and no penalties. Alternatives to Domain Authority
Is there another metric (or metrics) that is similar to the Moz Domain Authority that doesn't fluctuate as much? I've been reporting it on a monthly basis for about a year, but lately it seems like it's been going up and down every few weeks.

Domain Authority Droped 4 Points
Hi there, After the Last Mozscape index update: 08/27/2013Our DA along with all our competitors DA has dropped 4 points, Is there any reason for this ?Have others seen the same thing? Any suggestions of building DA again fast ? The owner of the company gets the reports from Moz and it really doesn't look good. Is it expected to bounce back ?

Exact match .ORG/.INFO vs. all query terms .COM - proof?
Hello world 🙂 I have searched among tons of quality articles here on forums, but surprisingly I haven't found topic that goes into the deep water when it comes to a specific KW rich domain problem. Let me first state that I'm mainly based this topic on the information found in following blog posts by randfish (that guru with the beard). http://www.seomoz.org/blog/exact-match-domains-are-far-too-powerful-is-their-time-limited and http://www.seomoz.org/blog/google-vs-bing-correlation-analysis-of-ranking-elements My questions is only related to RANKING aspect of the domains - NOT how is sounds, smell or dance. As all good simple .COM KW domain combinations are already taken, only thing that is left is to be a bit creative using non .COMs exact match, hyphens .COM exact match, all query terms .COM with a letter or word added etc. QUESTION and case study I found a good keyword phrase, let us called it 'super domain' with low competition & high monthly searches and great revenue possibilities. Naturally, first step is to acquire a exact match .COM domain (EMD). But, of course, that is not possible because 'superdomain.com' and super-domain.com has already been taken by some greedy domain broker waiting someone to pay $1.000.000 for it. Not an option. What options do I got? OPT1) superdomainA.COM (keyword phrase with added 'A' at the end) OR OPT2) superdomain.ORG/NET/INFO (keyword phrase on non .COM TLD) I couldn't find any studies with test and clear results regarding this subject. This is VERY important because, regarding to the links I posted, there is a 0.10 better correlation if choosing OPT1) superdomainA.COM, even if using exact match domain OPT2) superdomain.ORG/NET. But they haven't been cross tested in that results in the same post. So it's big '?' sign to me. As SEO market is getting more and more competitive, it is important to not leave anything to chance. I would appreciate if randfish, or anybody else could give some inputs about this. Thanks in advance!

Very confused on site.com/ or not using a /
I'm wanting to put the rel="canonical" tag on my homepage but I'm not sure which to use? How would you know what to use and always links to, http://www.site.com or http://www.site.com**/** Personally I never knew there was a difference until I used the seomoz tool and I wasn't using the tag.

I am getting this pop up on every page I visit: A username and password are being requested by http://lsapi.seomoz.com. The site says: "SEOmoz" I've searched some forums and see that others are experiencing it as well. The advice was to log into my seomoz account, however that did not work...any ideas?
