Content marketing for fake snow website
-
Hi there
I have taken control of a webshop that sells fake snow and winter effects products.
I am going to start a blog & in addition to paid and organic search practices, what other content marketing ideas does anyone think could increase traffic.
Cheers,
Ben

You have endless possibilities for content! Here are a few just off of the top of my head:
1. Facts about snow. How do we know that every snowflake is different? Why is every snowflake different? What kinds of snow are there? Why does some snow pack and and some doesn't? You could either have a huge article section or have some cool infographics about snow that are likely to be shared.
2. Trivia about snow - what country gets the most snow? What places has it snowed that usually never see snow at all?
4. Videos - You could put together so many cool pages about snow. You could easily compile youtube videos and make pages like - Top Ten Tobogganing accidents, Coolest snowmen. (There's another idea....pages and pages of ideas of things you could make out of snow....funny ways to make snowmen.), Top ten extreme skiing videos, top ten snowball fights.
I could go on and on. Speaking of snowball fights, you could have pages on snowball fight strategies. You could also have pages on cool ways to make snow forts.
Man...I want to change my niche to snow.

I would create a how-to section with ideas and examples/guides of how to use your products. You could also create some videos of these.
I would also look at **integrating social media into your site, especially the homepage, **and building a following through the main social networks, possibly pushing offers and discounts exclusive to these. A good social following will allow you to put your new content in front of your social network and help gain more links from this.
I would also think of doing some sort of competition for people to create displays/use your decorations and snow, then post these on your site offering a prize to the winner. You would want to put a poll in place for these and encourage visitors to vote on their favourite.
Hope this helps!

What's your preference - regurgitate content on social media or just post it the once?
Hi All, Not been on the forums for a while and this isn't really an SEO question. How do you feel about Twitter feeds that constantly regurgitate the same content. It's pretty much industry standard on most pages but if the content is yours, no affiliates or other people are involved - is it really necessary to plug the same 500 word blog post over and over? Personally, I don't like it. I think it looks spammy and unprofessional and in all honesty, I unfollow pages regularly because of it.. What do you guys think? Am I squandering content by not regurgitating? Happy Monday all - Jamie

B2B Marketing
It's about B2B marketing, my job is to search the target audience on LinkedIn & engage with them. I am sharing thought leadership on specific groups to increase the visits to our site. But, my ultimate aim is to reach the maximum number of people & make these people to share my thought leadership. There are lots of content on B2B marketing on the internet but it’s easier said than done. I am interested in knowing your experience.

How Can I do SEO for a Escorts Website?
So here comes the hard part of working with SEO.... I've been doing SEO for a quite long time now and as far as I concern, it has been working and that's why I can tell people I'm a SEO Manager! It was all good until 3/4 months ago when I got this client that wanted me to do SEO for his Escort Agency. I've analysed his website and came across some structure error, poor linking and so on... I've started by reformulating his website, re-structuring his urls, keeping good pages and throwing alway the poor content ones, requested some website owners to remove links to that website and so on.... All good and sorted, but when it came to do the off-page optimisation it became a nightmare! It's pretty easy to get links for a clothing website or any other (not "obscure") kind of websites, but no serious and authority websites would link to an escort agency; It's also very easy to create something funny and nice and post it on a page of your website to get people sharing and liking on facebook, but again very hard to get people to share and like things posted by an escort agency... You can't really advertise on escorts directories and use keywords on the ad because godfather google would penalize you.... I really don't know what to do anymore, so I will list some questions and if guys SEO experts could help me out, I would be so grateful!!! How can I get people linking to the website without paying for it? How can I get good authority links to this kind of website? How can I advertise on paid directories without being penalised by google? How can i get shares and likes on social network websites? The website has about 3000 pages, been online since 2010, have at least 3 lengthy articles posted a day! Please guys help me out with this case that is making me loose my nights of sleep... If you guys need the website address and the targeted keyword I can PM you (I dont know if the forum allows me to post it here) Thank You so much for the help in advance....

Should OG tags be used on a websites homepage?
My current shopping cart uses OG tags on about 1/2 of all pages, it puts them on product pages and that about it. Would it be beneficial to have these tags on all pages? Thanks for your time.

My goal at this point is to gain greater web exposure. I would love to be they type of blog others actively follow.

Duplicate Content
I have a question regarding non-original content on multiple sites. I'm working for a client that's company has a personalized social network for it's fans (completely custom, built from the ground up - not like kickapps, or the other social network dev platforms). Anyway the network is fairly active - at least a couple thousand users - and each one of these sites is given a subdomain. Each of these subdomains can be given a custom URL if purchased - but essentially it's much like creating a blogger or wordpress. Each URL is basically "http://FanUsername.BrandName.c0m/" Now the dev had the genius idea of publishing all "corporate/company" blog posts on everyone of these subdomains as well. When first learning of this, I told them it was a terrible idea - and that it may even penalize the main blog. After more research - it looks like this may not be the case? I still think they should just link back to the main blog and discontinue publishing these posts on all of these additional subdomains (and for those that purchased domain names - unique websites). What do you guys think? Should they only include an RSS feed of links back to the main blog? Should they just link directly back to the blog? Or should they offer shortened versions of each blog post - ala links + meta description + Read More...? Or lastly, should they just keep as is? Thanks for the help
