How do you know when your on a Auth website?
Gaining backlinks from Auth 'relevant' websites is at the top of any SEO's list but how do you know when you have found one?
Generally I look at DA/PA and social following, the bigger the social lists and the more activity socially on the website the more I think they are a Auth website.
So if I had something like DA/PA 60+ and lets say 5000+ twitter and facebook followers with sharing activity on the site, I would then try and gain a link.

You can also check their link profile.. Do they have a natural back link profile or are they over optimizing. Also check the onsite work, do they have a site that is trying to manipulate spiders (footer links, hidden text, stuffing keywords).
Do they have a blog on their site? when's the last time someone posted on this blog? dare these blog posts shared? Is the sites social media activity real?
If they have a good site with a good linking profile
and
If the site is active (frequent posting) and it has real followers on twitter or likes on Facebook with interaction/commenting then it is a good company to link with.

Question about pruning your website/blog for SEO
Hey all, So I checked out "The What, Why, and How of Pruning Your Website for SEO" and recently read ahrefs well known article on seo strategy and both really focused on the idea of removing poorly performing pages on your site for an SEO boost. I've asked this question in a few different ways before but I was hoping to get some more insight into this. If my company's blog has thousands of posts going back 5 years, 99% of which only really had pageviews on the day of their release and then after that receive no traffic, direct or organic, am I better off getting rid of (301) 99% of these posts and only sticking to/improving important/performant posts? Does anyone know how other blogs/sites deal with these sorts of issues. Where one function of the blog is to provide informative articles and the other function to post little tidbits (with barely any copy and rapid relevancy decay rate) meant to promote interaction with the blog community (like polls or one line contest winner announcements). Quick Start SEO Tasks for Brand New Multi Regional Website
Hello All Webmasters, I have questions on organic visits for my fresh website targeted in Australia. I am a webmaster of http://www.canvaschamp.com.au/ and we have launched this domain before 20 days around on the date 7th Aug 2014. Add pictures to website or Slideshare
For a law firm website looking to increase its traffic by offering pictures of cars that were in accidents, would it be more advantageous to add the pictures to the website directly (my inclination) or to Slideshare and put the embed code on the site? Also, we will have an abundance of pictures over time. How would you organize them on the site to maximize their SEO benefit? Have a picture landing page, then links to individual months from the landing page? Finally, assuming I go with a landing page with links to the months of the year (where that months pictures are stored), should each picture ultimately reside on its own page or is it sufficient to have all pictures for that month on one page?
