Fixing a wordpress 404 error for /feed and /comments/feed?

I have a wordpress site that does not have a blog currently. I'm getting a 404 for /feed and /comments/feed. Anyone know how I can fix?

You can't use a redirect with .htaccess now? or block the crawlers with a robots.txt for this folders?

Tag archives in wordpress

I have duplicate content issue on my site, because i allow to index tags in my wordpress. And the content overlaps on them. What could be a solution to this? How do i fight it, if still want my tag pages to be indexed in Google, but i don't want to to influence my traffic negatively? Currently i have 596 tags! 🙂 Site:
richclubgirl.com My idea was to put canonical tag for the post i want to rank from the most popular tag pages (with biggest page authority). Would love to hear from You!

Redirecting 404

Hi. I'm working on a wordpress site, which got some old deleted pages indexed and now shows a 404 (also in the results) As these old pages earlier got content and probably also some links pointing towards it, what would then be best practice to do? Should i make an 301 redirect? Make the 404 noindex?

Easy Fix for 404 Errors foe Newbie

Hey there, I have two errors at these links that to my knowledge do not exist on my domain according to the MOZ. http://educateathletes.com/post/23804085842/educateathletes-ushl-gm-head-coach-jim http://educateathletes.com/products I'm really not sure what to do. The first is an old Tumblr blog post. The second is a page that was created on my site but the URL title was changed to http://educateathletes.com/enroll Any advice is appreciated to eliminate this. Mass 404 Checker?

Hi all, I'm currently looking after a collection of old newspaper sites that have had various developments during their time. The problem is there are so many 404 pages all over the place and the sites are bleeding link juice everywhere so I'm looking for a tool where I can check a lot of URLs at once. For example from an OSE report I have done a random sampling of the target URLs and some of them 404 (eek!) but there are too many to check manually to know which ones are still live and which ones have 404'd or are redirecting. Is there a tool anyone uses for this or a way one of the SEOMoz tools can do this? Also I've asked a few people personally how to check this and they've suggested Xenu, Xenu won't work as it only checks current site navigation. Thanks in advance!

404 help

Hello all, firstly let me apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this question. I have a site www.promptresponseaccidentmanagement.com which gets a 200ok when checked for crawl issues, however pages such as /whiplash-injury-compensation-claims.php , /road-traffic-accident-compensation-claims.php and quite a few more return a 404. That's fine (usually) as I can quite happily fix that most of the time. However if you actually go to those pages in your browser, or click through to them on any part of the site you will see that they are in fact not redirecting to a 404 and everything is fine!? Any body got any ideas? Best H
