Does having a new website design and code affects the SEO
-
Dear experts,
We are in the process of completely revamping our website code and design to a new version of prestashop.
Having mentioned that, please note that we are not changing the URL links. So, the same products links will be the same and intact. Only the content is changing.
So, how this is affecting my website SEO or SERP?
Regards,
-
If your content is changing it will definitely affect your SEO positioning. Though there's no way of telling if it will have a positive or negative impact.
One thing I would suggest is make sure that you are using the proper keywords in your content(no keyword stuffing) and that you use the proper keywords in page titles, meta, etc.
Beyond that it's all up to the content you put in place.

Nice response eyepaq.
By the way, what's UX?
Well, one part I'm worried about is the number of links per page. Currently I have warning in almost all the website because I'm exceeding the number of links per page. And in the new website, these links will double because I'm adding extra big navigation plus many related links on the sides.
So, how would this affect as well???
-
It can help hurt or stay the same if you have the same CMS better chance of nothing changing
-
Yes it will. It's hard to say if it will be a negative and a positive change though.
There are a lot of elements that come into play as far as rankings and a lot of those elements are on-page elements (real estate / position within the page of content blocks, links, images).
The bottom line however is that since the urls will stay the same it's only half of the issue in this case
As long as it will bring improvements on the UX side you are safe even if for a short time google will "dance" with your rankings...
If you do see negative impacts at least you can pin point how important your on page elements are and if you really assess the situation and the difference you can improve and go even better then before.
Trial and error is the best approach on SEO - and on your case this is the best time to do a new session
Hope it helps.

PPC CPC Increase after Website Speed Issues Were Addressed
We recently moved our hosting provider over from WPEngine to Site Ground. We increased our page speed scores from D/F to a B this past week. However, we noticed an increase in our PPC cost per click due to the website speed being slower... we cannot figure out why this would happen. Has anyone else experienced something similar? A PPC landing page we have is---> https://www.medicarefaq.com/medigap/plan-a/

How would changing every title tag on your site at once affect SEO?
We are moving our website to a new CMS, and working with a vendor who would like to change the title tags from the current format to a breadcrumb structure. Our fear is that this may negatively impact the current optimization efforts in place. Our current title tags are a mixed bag of good, bad and neutral, but some have been optimized for best practices. Does anyone have any insight on the effect we would see if everything were changed at once, or any suggestions on how we could test this before we launch the "new" site? Thanks!

Google Display Network had 3000 new placements in May
Hi all, I'm running through traffic figures from May as there was a huge spike. This is down to a spike in Adwords, specifically the Display Network. In May 2014, there is a total of 4337 placements. In April 2014, there is a total of 1561 placements. With nearly 3000 new placements where the ad could be shown, would anybody be able to explain as to how and why this has happened? I've run through the change history, and nothing i've done explains the extra placements. Auto add placements was on, but has been on for 12 months with no more than 50 extra per month. The only change that has been done that may link is I've added a mobile phone extension on ads displayed on mobile devices? The significant extra cost has been of no benefit to the campaign, as the advert displayed on various apps, forums and irrelevant websites.Would be great if anybody could shed some light here! Thank You

Is ReachLocal Killing My SEO Work?
I have a customer that I did SEO work for. I cleaned up title tags, content, image tags, the works. Recently, they signed up with Reach Local to do some Pay Per Click. The problem/question I have is that reach local completely copied the entire site and put it on their server. So all my work for this company is now completely replicated. Now there are two sites. ex. windowname.com and windowname.reachlocal.net. It appears they do this for all their customers. Does Google view this as duplicate content? Does my regular website lose positioning to the more powerful ReachLocal?

SEO for PPC landing pages
After completing several months of on-page SEO for my site (one keyphrase per URL) and getting an "A" from SEOmoz on each page, now I'm venturing into PPC AdWords for the first time. From what I've read you pretty much want one landing page per keyword/ad. So if I want to target 100 PPC keywords I need 100 landing pages. And each landing page needs to be SEO'd as if you were doing it for organic search purposes so that your ad has a chance at a high Quality Score (8 to 10). I realize that an ad's QS is 2/3rds driven by its CTR but in the beginning when the ad is new the initial QS assigned seems to be driven more by landing page relevancy and some historical attributes of the AdWords account in which the ad or Campaign is located. My question is: What, if anything, do you do different on a page designed to be a PPC landing page as compared to a regular page you would SEO for organic search benefits? Also, should you do any of the off-page things (external links with relevant anchor text) for PPC landing pages? I'm envisioning landing pages that only exist to receive PPC ad clicks and that will not be linked to from my site directly. Each landing page talks a bit about the keyword the user was searching on and then directs them to the most relevant page(s) within my site. Maybe that's flawed? Thanks for any tips...
