Connecting Twitter accounts?
-
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect 2 separate Twitter accounts? The marketing department in my company set up the official Twitter feed. However, one of the employees took it upon themselves to set up another one and built up a good following. Now a lot of people are getting confused to which one is the official one. It would be great it we could merge the two, but I've been looking all morning and can't seem to find a way.
Any help?

Hi Brian,
I'm pretty sure this can't be done. It would be worth deciding on which account has the greatest amount of influence and then messaging everyone on the other account to inform them that it will no longer be used.
Can I merge or combine two or more Twitter accounts into one?
- There is currently no way to manage multiple Twitter profiles from a single account or merge multiple accounts into one.
- We are unable to migrate data (Tweets, following, or followers) from one account to another.
- If you no longer want one of your accounts, we recommend that you leave one account inactive (or deactivate it, if you want) and tell your followers to find you at your preferred account.
Hope this helps,
Mark

Best way to keep in touch with Twitter leads
On Twitter every now and then I have a conversation with a few people that lasts couple days. Then the conversation dies down and a different conversation with a few other followers begins. What do you guys do to keep in touch with the followers from the older conversations and perhaps start new ones? Do any of the online tools help with that?

G+personal or domain account?
I've looked through the forum and I understand that it now considered better to use a personal G+ account rather than a domain based one. I can change this as I haven't actively used by elizconley@homeforbusiness.co.uk yet but want to start doing this. I understand that it is better to set up a personal G+ account and a business page. However I have a couple of questions: 1. which account do I direct the rel=author markup to, my personal G+ account or the business page. At the moment I write many of the posts on HomeforBusiness. 2. When I post from the HomeforBusiness site do I post to the business page or my personal page? Which is considered better for building connections and improved ranking? Thanks, Elizabeth

Building links to a Twitter/social account
I've seen plenty of articles about using Twitter to build links, but how about building links to a Twitter account? Does registering on sites and directories like Topsy, Twellow and Klout help? We can link to Twitter accounts on our own websites and other social profiles, and use it as our link on blog comments etc, but is there anywhere else specific?

Just how popular are some #Twitter Groups
Good Morning from 14 degrees C wetherby UK 🙂 As i sat on my grassy knoll puffing on a pipe overlooking the English country Land I wondered... just how do you measure the volume of users using hash tag twitter groups.... or put another way imagine you say to a client "Ok one idea is to get this friday meal deal promoted on #FF" The client then says... "So how many twitter users use the #FF" It a blunt but legit question & one I couldnt answer right now. So my question is please... "Is there a tool to measure frequency of use with regards to twitter hash tag groups" Thanks in advance 🙂

Does the value of Twitter/FB shares change depending on the url used?
I have a really hard time wrapping my head around the use rel canonical. I just watched WBF and it brought up a question that I had. I had a situation where some of my pages could be accessed a couple of ways: www.mydomain/question1.php?id=24-keyword-rich-url, or www.mydomain/question1.php?id=24 I used rel canonical to tell the search engines that the keyword rich url was the one to index. Now, we all know that shares on Twitter, FB, etc. can add value to my site's SEO. So, if someone happens to be on the non-keyword-rich url and they click a button to share, do I still get the same seo benefit? Which brings me to a related question...if someone shares your content via a bitly or other shortened domain, is there any difference to the benefit you would get as compared to them sharing the full domain name?
