Who wants to help go over my crawl diagnostics via skype?
-
I have run a crawl diagnostic on my site and have 194 errors and most of them are 404 errors in wordpress. Not sure why, but many of my pages had name changes (possibly a permalinks issue) but I have no idea how to fix it.
- I had 5 duplicate page titles, and 1 tile missing or empty.
- 72 crawl notices found (2 permanent redirect, 17 blocked by robots, 53 rel canonical)
- 19 Crawl warnings were found
Who wants to have some fun?
-
Alright. Having over 100 errors and warnings had me worried. Sounds like its not that big of a deal. I did notice some issues where it looks like my blog page and some other pages are not being indexed. Any insight on this?

Your site seems to be in decent shape, based on the screaming frog crawl i ran
- You've got 2 internal 404 errors due to erroneous links you placed in the code probably
- your dupe titles don't look like they're a problem - canonical and no index tags seem to have sorted the issue
- page with a missing title is .php?Action=sitemap - doesn't seem to be the end of the world
The spider follows robots.txt
All in all, I wouldn't worry bout the warnings.

Instead of Skype, why don't you download the PDF and upload it to your server, and then share the link. I'd like to take a look.

Zack, what's your site? I can run it through Screaming Frog and take a look at the sources for the 404 errors, and export the data for you, so you'll be able to go in and fix the links.

Hi Zack,
Have you checked out our Help Hub, where we have a lot of information about the Crawl Diagnostics tool and a video that walks you through it some of the features?

Crawl Diagnostics
My site was crawled last night and found 10,000 errors due to a Robot.txt change implemented last week in between Moz crawls. This is obviously very bad so we have corrected it this morning. We do not want to wait until next Monday (6 days) to see if the fix has worked. How do we force a Moz crawl now? Thanks

Crawl Diagnostics - Historical Summary
As we've been fixing errors on our website, the crawl diagnostic graphs have been showing great results (top left to bottom right for errors). The problem is the graphs themselves aren't very pretty. I can't use them in my internal reports (all internal reports are standardised colours/formats). Is there anyway of exporting the top level summary with historic data so the graphs can be recreated in company colours? I don't want the detailed CSV breakdown of what errors occurred, but rather than on X date there were Y errors, the next month Z errors and so forth. The data must already be in the SEOMoz system in order to create the graphs themselves - I was hoping this can be made available to us if it isn't already? Does anyone know if there is already a way of doing this? I've tried to 'inspect element' and find the underlying data in the source code but to no avail, and can't see any exports that would do this. Thanks in advance Dean

Crawl findings 301 redirects I didn't make?
Hi, I'm new to SEOMOZ Pro and loving it so far, but was confused as to how the 51 page Crawl of my site (http://cryptophoneaustralia.com) found so many 301 redirects. 18 to be exact. It's a Wordpress site, and my htaccess file has no 301's in it, so I'm kind of confused as to where to start looking as to why they've shown up in the crawl. I've been building sites for years, and use 301's quite regularly, but this site should have none. The site was originally on a subdomain until it was ready to go live, then I moved the site to it's current domain and ran the Velvet Blues plugin to update all the URLs. I then went through and manually changed the ones in areas where this plugin tends to miss. The site still functions fine, it just bothers me why the 301's are being found in the crawl. Thank you.

Crawl Diagnostics - Crawling way more pages than my site has?
Hello all, I'm fairly new here, more of a paid search guy dabbling in SEO on the side. I have a client that I have in SEOMoz and the Crawl Diagnostics report is showing 10,000+ pages crawled and I think the site has at most 800 pages (e-commerce site using freewebstore.org as the platform). Any reasons this would be happening?

I go crazy!
Hi everybody, a short summary at the start: I have my page (www.nlp-deutschland.de) since a long time positioned good, but not perfect in google. The best ressource is a forum wich brings me about 50.000 content-pages, unique and nice. My most important keyword is "NLP". I never needet to look for backlinks. There where only two pages above me: nlp.de, which is the direct key, and wikipedia. Since about one year my page is suffering on google. Mostly it is because of competitors. I personaly think, they buy a lot of backlinks. I startet Seomoz PRO three months ago and I see, that they have about 5 times as much backlinks from other domains / c-blocks as I have. Round about, I got 100 and they got 500. However, in the link analytics I also see that some pages with fewer backlinks are ranked higher. And I get so many different hints about SEO, that I don´t know anymore which one to follow. I am sure about what I am doing with backlinks, but I am not sure about onpage. Here an example:

All my internal links are relative. As my key is also includet in the domain itself, it get´s no repetition in the url. One of my competitors, which has not the key in his url, just created a subfolder "/nlp/" to all of his pages and has absolute links in his navigation. This brings him the key to every single link in his navigation, while I have no key in the navigation, because it´s in the URL itself and the navigation is relative. I was told that it would make a lot of sense to change the navigation to absolute links, just to get my key into every url of the navigation. Others say, this is bullshit. Another question is double meta-description and meta-tags. With 50.000 content-pages it would be a huge lot of work to get them all done different (by hand). But it is shown as an ERROR in the SeoMoz-Reports. Are they so much important? However, I just realize I have no clue about onpage-optimization. So what would you suggest are the most important factors onpage? All the best, Julian!0 -
Only 1 page has been crawled. Why?
I set a new profile up a fortnight ago. Last week seomoz crawled the entire site (10k pages), and this week has only crawled 1 page. Nothing's changed on the site that I'm aware of, so what's happened?

Crawl completed but no report available for download?
I put 2 crawls in the same day. One came back and delivered a report that I could download. The other one is completed (says so on the page) but there's no way for me to download the report. How do I get a hold of it? Thanks!
