Is there an easy way to create this type of post, wordpress?
-
I run a site that is in Google news and built on wordpress.
I have seen this type of post on a few sites
http://searchengineland.com/searchcap-the-day-in-search-december-21-2012-143315
Its basically a summary of posts for that day or week etc
I am wondering, does anyone know of an easy way to create these types of pages? At the moment we simply copy and paste and create all links manually.
Im wondering, is there a plugin that allows you to create a post like this but quicker?
Any ideas at all would be great
Thanks in advance

There are some plugins which do create these kind of posts automatically based on keywords. But for what I know and feel it's much better nowadays to spend 20 minutes and do it manually, plus adding comments and tips, in short, provide curation to the post.
For automated plugins in Wordpress you can simply enter "automated google news plugin" or else I would say. Look also for "goolge news" within the plugin search inside WorpdressYou can also create content from a RSS feed in a widget or in the footer of your Wordpress theme and so get updated news around that topic. Just copy any available RSS feed link about a subject (found on relevant websites and pages), use a RSS feed plugin if the WP theme you use does not have it, and paste that link.

will check it out and let you know
Thanks for your help

Here is something that I found useful
Go check the screenshot when you enter the link. It seems really helpful for that kind of situations.

Please keep me posted if that did not solve your problem and I will try to find something else.

Is Google creating meta descriptions on the fly?
I'm doing some competitor analysis for a client. I'm looking at the client's title tags and meta descriptions for specific search results, in comparison to their main competitor. I'm trying to establish if the client is ranking higher due to better relevance, or just because they have higher PA and DA. It appears to be the latter. Observations: For both the client and their competitor, their home pages appear in the results much more frequently than specific landing pages The meta description Google chooses to display in the search results for the home page does not always match the ACTUAL meta description for the page and appears to vary depending on the specific search query Questions: Does Google create meta descriptions on the fly? Is this an example of Google using semantic search? And if so, why are we bothering to type customised meta descriptions for specific pages, if Google is just going to recreate them anyway? Is Google displaying results of the home pages simply because they cannot find pages more relevant (ie. if we produced landing pages more relevant to these specific search queries, would Google rank them higher)?

WordPress posts Title field inserts title into blog posts like a headline but doesn't ad H1 tag how to change?
I have a Wordpress website which is just using the Default theme, when I post in the blog, whatever I put in the "Title" field at the top of the editor is automatically is placed within the body of the blog post, like a headline, but it doesn't include any H1 tags that I can see. If I add my own headline within in the blog editor, it still inserts the Title like a headline. I am using the Yoast SEO Plugin and also write the meta title there, should I just leave the Wordpress title field blank so it doesn't insert into the blog post? Or is that inserted Title being recognized as an H1 even though I don't see h1 tags anywhere? Hope this isn't too confusing.

Links / Metadata around Recent Posts etc in Wordpress / Blog - Good SEO Practice?
Hello In a Wordpress blog ( or part of an ecommerce site that runs under wordpress ) it is good to show recent posts in the sidebar on most pages. Obviously the posts aren't going to be relevant to every post , so my questions are: Is having these on the page hurting SEO for the page? Is there good metadata structure to put in there? ( like rel="nofollow" or similar ) Thoughts?

The same "About" page on multiple WordPress microsites
Hello there, I have over 10 WordPress websites that all have the same "About" page because the same company. I have concerns that this will adversely affect my sites and i'm looking for the best way to deal with this. I was either going to remove the "About" page with Google Webmaster Tools and robots.txt or use the canonical meta tag on that page. Any thoughts?

What type of links should be followed and nofollowed internally?
We have submitted our sitemap.xml to search engines so now that they have that should we use a nofollow attribute on the sitemap.html? Do we even need a sitemap.html? For other links on the site such as: Contact us About Us Locations and other phrases that we are not trying to rank for should we set these to nofollow?
