Years ago, you were able to see the categories a keyword is belong to.
I think the only place left is DMOZ. Any other ideas will greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Here is a blog that might be helpful in this regard.
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/keyword-research-using-categories
When using Google Keyword Tools or Word Tracker tools, it will typically provide a category association. Would you mind providing some insight into your process? This might allow for more specific feedback.

Getting indexed by Google scholar
Often my Google Scholar alerts result in exactly what I think they will: scholarly articles published in academic journals. However, today I got this completely non-scholarly article https://www.t-nation.com/training/the-exact-reps-that-make-you-grow and I have no idea why Google Scholar is indexing this site. I've read up on how to get indexed by Google Scholar, and this website doesn't seem to have the necessary requirements. I'm curious for anyone whose clients or industry need to get indexed by Google Scholar, what has worked for you?

Google Keyword Tool is Being Sunsetted
I was reading this article http://adwords.blogspot.de/2013/05/introducing-keyword-planner-combining.html that says that Google is going to be sunsetting it's popular keyword tool. As an SEO specialist, I use this tool daily, so I'm concerned about it's impact on my keyword research efforts. I reviewed the keyword planner (albeit quite quickly) and it doesn't seem to work as efficiently for SEO keyword research. I'm curious to get others thoughts on the following: The new keyword planner tool Will the new keyword planner tool be effective for SEO keyword research Are there other tools that you've used that have provided good keyword research data (and are they free or paid)
