Best Way To Clean Up Unruly SubDomain?

Hi,
I have several subdomains that present no real SEO value, but are being indexed. They don't earn any backlinks either. What's the best way of cleaning them up?
I was thinking the following:
1. Verify them all in Webmaster Tools.
2. Remove all URLs from the index via the Removal Tool in WMT
3. Add site-wide no-index, follow directive.
Also, to remove the URLs in WMT, you usually have to block the URLs via /robots.txt.
If I'd like to keep Google crawling through the subdomains and remove their URLs, is there a way to do so?

This is my opinion and I believe it is shared with many other people as well and search engine optimization community by using the Google disavow link tool or revoke links tool you are essentially consenting to doing something wrong do not do it
do not unblock 100% of your robot text only allow the links that you wish to have seen by Google. Just think of them as a parameter on the end of the link but a subdomain. It will be indexed and site map accordingly.

You may now continue to use subdomains. And they will be ranked just as high as non-subdomains.
You have to do exactly what you stated but the opposite you have to remove the robot text that is blocking subdomain from being indexed by search engines
Once there is a site map and the robot text is fixed to allow search engine's to crawl the subdomain it will be ranked appropriately and should not have to take any more action.

Removing site subdomains from Google search
Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good week? My website has several subdomains that I had shut down some time back and pages on these subdomains are still appearing in the Google search result pages. I want all the URLs from these subdomains to stop appearing in the Google search result pages and I was hoping to see if anyone can help me with this. The subdomains are no longer under my control as I don't have web hosting for these sites (so these subdomain sites just show a default hosting server page). Because of this, I cannot verify these in search console and submit a url/site removal request to Google. In total, there are about 70 pages from these subdomains showing up in Google at the moment and I'm concerned in case these pages have any negative impacts on my SEO. Best way to host new product?
Hi guys We are launching a new product, the web pages are being built by a 3rd party and fall outside our current CMS. We're considering either hosting it on 1) sub domain 2) folder within existing site (although will be tricky to implement) or 3) a different URL altogether. What would you say is the best for SEO? What is the best URL designed for a product page?
Should a product page URL include the category name and subcategory name in it? Most ecommerce platforms it seems are designed to do have the category and sub-category names included in the URL followed by the product name. If that is the case and the same product is listed in more then 1 category and sub-category then will that product have 2 unique urls and as a result be treated as 2 different product pages by google? And then since it is the same product in two places on the site won't google treat those 2 pages as having duplicate content? SO is it best to not have the category and sub-category names in the URL of a product page? And lastly, is there a preferred character limit for a URL to be less than in size? Thanks!

Merging several sites into one - best practice
I had 2 sites on the web (www.physicseditor.de, www.texutrepacker.com) and decided to move them all under one single domain (www.codeandweb.com) Both sites were ranking very good for several keywords. I not redirected the most important pages from the old domains with a 301 redirect to the new subpages (www.texturepacker.com => www.codeandweb.com/texturepacker) Google still delivers the old domains but the redirect take people directly to the new content. I've already submitted the new site map to google webmaster tools. Pages are already in the index but do not really show up in the search results. How long does it take until google accepts the new domain and delivers the new content in the search results? Was it ok what I did? Or is there some room for improvement? SeoMoz will of course not find any information about the new page since it is not yet directly linked in google. But I can't get ranking information for the "old" pages since SeoMoz tells me that it can't crawl the old domains....

Managing international sites, best practises
This question follows on from my earlier question http://www.seomoz.org/q/how-to-replace-my-co-uk-site-with-my-com-site-in-the-us-google-results My client owns www.blindbolt.co.uk for the UK site and www.blindboltusa.com for their US site. They will shortly be having a new site for Australia. They have just acquired www.blindbolt.com and have expressed an interest in using this as the main hub for all of their sites, i.e. http://uk.blindbolt.com, http://aus.blindbolt.com. The current, existing sites (e.g. www.blindbolt.co.uk) could be 301'd to the new locations. Could I have your thoughts please on whether to go down this route of having international subdomains , vs keeping the sites on separate top level domains? What should I take into consideration? Is google smart enough to return different subdomain results in different countries? Many thanks!

Best cross linking strategy for micro sites?
Hi Guys. I created a micro site (A design showcase gallery) away from the main website to attract a lot of links in my space from competitors. It works so well it has become a valuable resource in my industry and I believe I will keep it running and adding content to it.
