For SEO Purposes, What is a Good Website Builder?

Hi,
I was just curious what website builder, example: intuit, sitepro, yahoo site builder, website builder - created by Godaddy, etc... would be considered good for SEO?
Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

_Do not take it otherwise, personally I would prefer to hire a website designer because when you are using website builder chances are there it may lack the professional touches. _

If you are not a programmer I will highly recommend using Wordpress for your site independently of whether you want to use it for a business or a blog. It has a nice out of the box admin interface and a great support from the community.You can hire a web designer and get a template or buy a custom one online. Be careful with free templates as they will inject links to other sites. Also, you can integrate a blog into your business website and provide useful, valuable content to your community. Keep in mind that you are building a website for the people and not search engines.

Any website builder that gives you almost full control will be fine. Even better if you have full control over the URLs. Most systems now seem to be aware of being 'search-friendly' so play around with them. Watch your internal linking structure and provide great content then if you build a page then use SEOmoz's on-page optimisation tool to check on-site SEO. The only thing I would say is try to get a host and software package which lets you use your own domain then you can build your own domain authority rather than a subdomain or sub-URL of another company.

Technical SEO - Where to begin?
Hi all, I'm looking to learn more about technical SEO. My background was digital marketing/PR where I learned the importance of links, of anchor text, of page speed, of improving UX signals, of SSL, utilising things like Google My Business etc. However, I find I am chasing my tail when it comes to things like understanding JS/CSS/log file analysis etc. I've tried reading so many articles on the subjects and I just find it so damn confusing. AnugalarJS/BackboneJS. Fetching & rendering, URL parameters...etc. I know from my own experiments that JS pages struggle to rank and I've created two very similar pages, one without JS, one with JS (which had far more links) and the non-JS page ranked far higher. So, I suppose I'm asking for some help with how to begin learning this stuff. I find the articles on Moz, Search Engine Land etc to be a bit confusing...maybe I'm not technically minded enough! How to Handle Website Merge?
We are a law firm and have another law firm merging into ours. Our branding will remain the same, but I am trying to figure out how to best handle their website transition. Should we link it to ours (although their PR & page authority are not significant) or should I map each page to ours with similar content with a redirect? MY main concerns are not damaging our website's SEO by doing something search engine's would frown on and also to try to take advantage of any organic traffic or referral traffic. Or maybe some combination - link homepage with added verbage that attorney is now with our firm and a link and redirect the sub-pages? Coming soon SEO
Hi, I was wondering what is the best practice to redirect all the links juice by redirecting all the pages of your website to a coming soon page. The coming soon page will point to the domain.com, not to a subfolder. Should I move the entire website to a subfolder and redirect this folder to the coming soon page? Thanks

Hosting in the US for an Australian website
Hi, I was wondering whether it's still important for SEO to host a website in the same country as you're targetting. We host a fair few Australian sites and we're looking for a new webhost at the moment. Should we only consider hosting on Australian servers or is it worth looking at servers elsewhere? One of the main reasons we're thinking about US hosting is that we can get a machine that is 3x more powerful than we can get in Australia for the price. This performance increase should go some way to minimizing the effect of the latency increase. Thanks, Nick
