Building links to a Twitter/social account

I've seen plenty of articles about using Twitter to build links, but how about building links to a Twitter account?
Does registering on sites and directories like Topsy, Twellow and Klout help? We can link to Twitter accounts on our own websites and other social profiles, and use it as our link on blog comments etc, but is there anywhere else specific?

Well each of those sites links to your twitter as well so its a nice two-for-one.
But add you twitter link to author bylines (guest blog posts). Whenever you are mentioned online, ask for a link to your twitter (think interviews).
When you say "link to twitter account... from somewhere specific", I think twitter directories.

Thanks - I've seen that - that's one of the articles I meant I have seen; it's more about using Twitter to build links to YOUR OWN sites. I know the above helps, but I wanted to know if there was any specific advice about building links DIRECTLY TO Twitter accounts.

Social Media Tracking
We currently use Sharing from JetPack to offer people the ability to share our blogs on Twitter, Facebook, and so on. Unfortunately the Site Stats provided are not very thorough and not able to be tracked in Google Analytics. Does anyone have a suggestion on which program is best to use for social media tracking? We would prefer to use one program to gather and show all of the statistics.

How do you generate followers on twitter?
Hi, How do you generate followers on twitter? I see a lot of people are saying follow others to gain more followers, use #tags and engage with other peoples tweets. But with the last point, all the tweets I find under search are spam. As an example, if you searched 'SEO' all you are going to get is lots of ' view this article' type tweets. It's almost like there is more business/spam then actual real people. Cheers

Good idea to include links in Facebook posts teaser-text?
Hi guys, I'm wondering; is it a good idea (for the engines primaliry) to include links with targeted keywords in facebook posts. From a user perspective I would say it's not desirable. But I'm wondering how Google and co treat links which they find there. They are nofollowed, yes. They are indexed however but when I want google to show me the text-only version of the cached page I receive an 404 error which is odd. Anybody else getting the 404 from google? 1.5m pageviews / 400k uniques. What are we missing though?
We have built up our site to 1.5m pageviews / 400k uniques per month. But I am sure there are a ton of things that we aren't doing correctly.
