Keyword Analysis Report Excel Password protected
-
I am having a problem with the Keyword Analysis report that i am downloading as excell docs. There are password protected. Anyone knows the password?
-
HI Angelos,
Excel has a Protected View feature which prevents files from the internet from being opened in full view mode. All the Keyword Analysis I have ever downloaded simply required me to "Enable Editing" to manipulate the document. This is usually a ribbon across the top of Excel.
You can disable this by going to FILE -> OPTIONS, 1st Pop Up click TRUST CENTER, then Trust Center Settings (button), 2cnd PopUp click Protected View and disable "Enable Protected View for files origination from the Internet".
*Note this may effect all Office programs like Word / Access etc..
The only other things I can think causing password protection would be you don't have SEOmoz credits, or there is some security features that an admin has enabled.
Alternatively, you can download it as an .CSV file and open it with something else besides Excel.
Hope that helps,
Don

Is it a bad idea to hyphenate keywords?
Hello, my understanding was that Google reads hyphens in keywords as spaces, but if that's accurate how come keywords with hyphens that I research with Keyword Explorer — for instance, hospital-acquired infections — rank lower when I include the hyphen? If the hyphen hurts SEO, do I have to remove them all from the blog or page in question? Removing hyphens means a blog or page will have punctuation errors, which is irritating to an editor, but I don't want to sacrifice the effectiveness of keywords, either. Thanks, in advance, for your response!

Brand Name Keyword Stuffing
I'm targeting Roho Cushions and the category page has many products starting with Roho underneath it. I know the keyword "Roho" shows up at least 70 times. I'm not targeting the keyword Roho, but could this negatively effect the rest of my keywords that start with Roho, such as "Roho Wheelchair Cushions"?

Ranking for more keywords - Noob question
Hi, I've noticed recently that our site is ranking for a fraction of the keywords that our competitors are ranking for. In terms of increasing the number of keyword rankings per page would it simply be a case of adding optimised copy to each page? Thanks, Dan

Stop List and Keywords
I've came across a suggested list of words that google will ignore in your content, if this is correct and one of our main keywords is one of those words, will it lose effectiveness? We are trying to get #1 SERP for "Self Tan" and it seems "Self" is one of the words ignored - so should we just be focusing on Tan? Any tips / advice would be great!
