If I switch my domain name, will I keep link juice from redirect?

I am moving one of my sites wellington-florida-homes.com to a new domain (wellingtonfloridahomes.com). Most of our link-juice is coming from another domain we purchased (theshockleyteam.com) that is redirected to our primary site. If I simply redirect theshockleyteam.com to our new domain (wellingtonfloridahomes.com) I will still have the link juice passing through, right?

Thanks Tom! I thought so, just wanted to make sure. The domain with dashes doesn't have a spammy link profile, just a spammy url
We finally got our hands on the non-hyphenated version!Thanks for the help!

That's right Ricky - provided the redirect is a 301 and remains in place, the strength of the previous domain will pass through. It's accepted that a little of the power is lost with a redirect, but certainly over 90% of the strength is passed.
Might be an idea to 301i the wellington-florida-homes.com domain too - unless you're leaving it behind because it has a spammy link profile, as those will pass on as well as any strength.

Do Canonical Tags Pass Link Juice?
I have an ecommerce website where some pages link to a product page with a different URL. EXAMPLE: 1: /category/product1.html (not indexed by Google) with canonical pointing to product1.html Other page link to the product like below. 2: product1.html (indexed by Google) Now the question is, does 1: pass any link juice to product1.html or not? Will unused/dead pages within my site that is non-linked hurt my seo?
For example my website has mysite.com/randomunusedpage.html No links go into that page from the website but it is published (came with the WP theme). Will that hurt my SEO and should I delete the page or is it harmless? Thanks

Will really old links have any benefit being 301'd
I have a client who when they built their site never had any of their old links 301'd - I've now managed to locate a few of these links and am going to redirect them. The site was rebuilt 2006/07 - and it ranked page one and #1 for lots of relevant keywords, if I redirect these to the current pages will the rankings still carry??

Quality links are beneficial, but are neutral links detrimental?
So obviously a link profile featuring quality / authoritative / relavant in-bound links is preferable, but here's my question: If I'm starting work on a brand new domain, should I build links that one would consider neutral (i.e. from a non-spammy, but unrelated site) or should I not bother and only focus on quality links? Will links to www and none www result in penalty?
Hello all, Normally i redirect my www to none www to avoid the potential of duplicate content and as its typically something that is done in SEO. I don't have access to the site of the company I am working for at the moment as everything related to the sites code goes through the web developer. At the moment the site lives at www and none www and one does not redirect to the other. I have been building links (organically as we engage on a few forums and blogs) to the www as that is how it is linked internally already and how links from the job boards we post on link. We do however have some natural none www links and my concern is that since the site isn't redirected that it is being penalised or could become penalised because of this. I imagine that it isn't a serious penalty if one at all but I would rather know so I can try and get it sorted as fast as possible. Thanks.

301 Redirect with an Exact Domain name Match
My Client had a site that ranked for a pretty competitive two word phrase, but for a variety of reasons had to transfer the site to a different domain name (with none of the previous keywords). We've 301'd everything just fine to the new site, but our traffic for that two word phrase, as well as related long tail traffic, is beginning to drop. Could the drop be related to something that we didn't do well in the transfer? Or is it due to the new domain name now not being an exact match? Sitenote question: Our Google Analytics is still set up for the former domain name and shows data just fine. Is there any reason to switch GA to the new domain? What are the pros/cons? What should I do about links coming in that are from link farm type sites?
I just noticed two back links to a couple of sites around pharmaceuticals/attorneys. The one link is to a chinese site with url: http://e.lifestyle.com.cn/fashionweekly/nzj/353093_2.shtml, and the other is to a site called Adroo: http://adroo.com/us/?view=list&list_id=104154&lang=en. Both appear to be some type of link farm sites, one has come in as a nofollow (surprise, you can buy "ads" on their site, both have decent DA. There is no reason for them to link to theses sites, should I find a way to stop the link? Also, on one of the sites we had a dmoz link and it is not showing in OSE? Link is still open in dmoz though. Thanks for any input.

A client will be translating their entire site into French in addition to English. For SEO purposes, should I host it on the same domain or create its own dedicated domain?
