Why do the competitive link analysis numbers not match the domain analysis?

There is only one area that our competitor out ranks us and that is in the total links on the root domain. But when i go to competitive link analysis we have more links then they do. Any ideas?

There are too many factors in trying to help you answer this question. One link from CNN is way more credible than ijuststartedmysiteyesterday.com.

Also, the PA of the of the linking webapge is a factor. Sorry I can't help more, but we need more info to answer this question.

Moz Domain Authority 27

Hi there, I have been reading up about Domain Authority being important to rank though I have a question about it. When trying a few google searches and using a tool to see the Moz Domain Authority i notice the following. I won't mention sites or keywords, happy to send them via private message if required. A site ranks 1st position for most keywords including the main keyword that related to their industry, a highly competitive keyword. Their Moz Domain Authority 27, Est. Visits: 265,000, Pinterest shares 72, Facebook shares 191 and unique domains that point to it are 55. Yet when I look at another site, optimising for the same keyword, Moz Domain Authority 50, Est. Visits: 60,000, Pinterest shares 35000, Facebook shares 20000 and unique domains that point to it are 521. I would have thought that the second site ranks 1st for the keyword and the first one mentioned which is in 1st position I would have expected to be on page two or three. as I scroll down the first page for the term, all sites except for one have higher DA, visits, shares and so on. If a high PA is required can someone help me to understand the above example? Whn a low PA site ranks much better for a primary keyword than all other sites that have a higher PA than it?

Hey Guys I am finding that my Moz tool isn't showing links that are definitely there like from social media etc. Also links that are there about 4-5 months are not showing either! am i doing something wrong?

Competitor Adwords Keyword Analysis

Hi everyone, My company is exploring moving into a new industry, and I'm struggling a bit with where to start regarding adwords / keywords. I'm wondering if you have any recommendations regarding a tool for analyzing what others in the space are using for keywords in Adwords (preferably including some detail regarding CPC, volume, etc...). There appear to be several options (both free and paid). I'm just looking for what you'd consider a good product (whether paid or otherwise). Broken links in the pdf of the On Page Report

Hi, I run an individual On Page report for a particular URL, then I export as pdf. The URL appears in the pdf and looks fine but when you click on it it goes to a 'page not found'. I know the URL is correct. When I hover over the URL in the pdf i notice that the word 'Good' is at the end of my URL but I did not put this in there. if I give the report to a client it doesn't look so good. http://www.narellanpools.com.au/local-contact/narellan-pools-alburywodongaGood Is this a bug? Why are my sub-domains ranking higher than my Root Domains?

I have just noticed that my sub-domains are ranking higher in Mozrank and Moztrust than the root domain - that seems nuts. Am I doing something wrong?

What are no followed links?

Hi there, probably this is so self explaining that I didn't find it described in the tutorial about learning to use PRO or here in Q&Α. But remember, there is no dumb question 🙂 What are the followed vs no followed links? I understand followed links as backlinks to my site, but what is a no followed link? Thank you in advance!

Can someone explain why I have been seeing an increase in the number of Linking Page URLs in OSE that link directly to downloads?

Ever since the last couple Linkscape updates when doing competitive back link analysis I have noticed a large increase in the number of URLs of Linking Pages in OSE that result in an immediate file download. The majority of the time these downloads are not common files ie PDF, DOC files. For example, these were all in a competitors back link profile: http://download.unesp.br/linux/debian/pool/main/i/isc-dhcp/isc-dhcp-relay-dbg_4.1.1-P1-17_ia64.deb http://snow.fmi.fi/data/20090210_eurasia_sd_025grid.mat http://www.rose-hulman.edu/class/me/HTML/ES204_0708_S/working model examples/Le25 mad hatter.wm?a=p&id=145880&g=5&p=sia&date=iso&o=ajgrep These are just a few I came across for a single competitor. Is this sketchy black hat SEO, some sort of error, actual links, or something else? Any information on this subject would be helpful. Thank you.

Why is the crawler following form action links?

I have an issue with one of my sites where the SEOMoz crawler is following some form action links. It is my understanding that the crawler will ignore these links. Why would it not be ignoring them in certain cases. If you need more detail, please ask. Thanks.
