How long does it take to get links indexed?
-
How long does it take Google Webmaster tools on average to detect links to my website? What about OSE? My site is fairly new (launched in January) and I've done some guest blogging -- I would think that some links from 3-4 weeks ago would be showing up by now. Am I just being impatient?

Hi, I made some posts in Blogspot 4 months ago. but still no link is showing in the Google Search Console. can anyone tell how long it take to show up in GSC? will google show that link? the posts I wrote on a metal bed frame.
thanks in advance. -
It depends on site. If it is well known then it might index it fast.
In Laser Marking Machine we are building links some of them are indexing and some of them are still not indexed. -
IT takes 8 to 10 weeks to index.

hello I have a website with page rank 4 I've noticed when update pages it update right away but when I update with a new post it goes live couple of hours if you aearch for it on Google with the key words you used so that means if you use your site to post useful information or news google is going to pick it up quick I also use Google Plus remember that is 100% google no middle man i have also noticed when i use g+ I get more hits so meaning I'll stick with google+ to post different information than facebook.
this is article I published that you can check out.

It depends on a variety of factors. You will notice that some people say that it takes hrs while others might say months. I recently highlighted these in my own blog post, but if you want something crawled and indexed faster you need the trust of that website to be increased. So feel free to share it on social media sites, build links to that page, or connect Google+ to it.

Andrew, let's site abc.com is the site linking to your from their homepage. If you really want to check, just see cache:abc.com in Google and see if the page in Google's cache contains your link. Google may or may not show all of your backlinks.
Considering your site is new, and the fact that you are doing Guest Posts (which in my opinion are the Directory Submissions of 2011-2012-2013 years), I would look at diversifying your link building tactics to be more natural. Really natural. Specially if you want this site to rank for a long period.
I hope this helps.

Hi Andrew, it takes only a few hours!... (also websites that post news will not wait 3 months ;)) But I think it depends on your trust and page rank which helps to get new links indexed faster. I have my own domain more than 10 years, got very few but good backlinks and never found time to optimize my own site but at least it has a PR4. I lately tested how blogging helpes to rank for keywords and made very good experiences. At night I posted a short article, submitted it with WMT ...fetch as google... And the next morning the new page ranked already very well !! So upload your page and submit it to google. And check next morning... It worked for my WP Blog. Thats my experience Best regards, Holger

How long does it take to get links indexed?
It depends upon on how often Google crawls the website and web pages concerned and whether or not they determine the content worthwhile adding to their index. You can perform a search in Google to see if the web pages containing your links have been indexed and check the last cache date.
**How long does it take Google Webmaster tools on average to detect links to my website? **
About 6 weeks on average, however Google does not include all your links in WMT
What about OSE?
The way Mozscape crawls and indexes the web means that deep pages are often not added to their OSE reports. If the links were only placed in the last 3-4 weeks it's unlikely Moz will havew found them all yet so I would hold on a couple more weeks.

I believe Matt Cutts once said that the backlinks in GWT are updated every 3 months or so. I'm not sure if the frequency has been changed since then. I don't know how often OSE updates.
It's best to keep track of your own backlinks. As long as the page that the link is on has been indexed by Google, then it is likely already being taken into account from the algorithm's perspective.

Disavow links from legit sites but have spammy link profiles?
I'm currently doing a backlink audit for our site with a LOT of backlinks. Some of the linking sites are legitimate business websites in our industry who have linked to us for a totally legitimate reason (we have good content!). However, these businesses themselves have a spammy backlink profile—that is, the only sites linking to that site are obvious link farm sites. Here is an illustration: spammyseolinks.com; payforseo.xyz; blackhat.ru ==all link to==> legitbusiness.com ==links to==> mysite.com Should I disavow this backlink? I guess it's not really giving me much SEO worth since it surely been branded a spammy junk domain, but then again, it's a real website that we've earned a link from because we're doing stuff the right way. Is it hurting or helping me?

Naked link anchors or long tail anchors ?
Hi, Do naked link anchors such as "www.mysite.com/my-category" have the same SEO power as long tails anchors? What about the UX which such anchors? Lately a site published our back-to-school article with this horrible naked link anchor, it does not look friendly to me as a reader, but I am wondering whether I should bother, how important it is for google and for readers? Thank you in advance. Isabelle

If you discount a subscription when the client links to you, does that classify as a paid link?
For example, we all subscribe to MOZ, but if we received a 25% discount on our subscription if we linked back, would that be considered by Google as a paid link, or would it be seen as a sales tool / promotion?

If I create a fresh link pointing to specific page on my site, apart from adding a number to "page linking root domains" does it also add up to root domain linking ?

Does a hashtag link pass the same amount of link juice as a link without a hashtag?
Example 1: link to: http://www.domain.com/#something-inside-the-page Example 2: link to: http://www.domain.com/

Getting a link from a blog on every page querying what OSE is suggesting
Hi Guys My client has been offered a link from someone within their industry on their blog. The blog has 20 categories and multiple (hundreds if not more pages within each category). The owner of the website has said that would be happy to give my client a link on each of their pages (including their homepage). They have done this for another couple of people who they like before, so I typed these domains into OSE and noticed that for each page it shows a link and also the page authority. Domain Authority of this blog giving the link is 71 Home Page PA - 76 About us PA - 60 it goes on.........the least PA being shown is 52 so lets for arguements sake say the other 18 or say categories are PA of 52 too. My question is surely the OSE is not accurate to imply that my client could be passed page authority from 18 categories at 52 each + home page of 76 + about me page of 60? Hopefully you understand the point I'm trying to make

Etsy.com --Getting link juice through other pages on search results?
My sister has a store page on etsy.com where she sells home made crafts. And I want to help her rank higher on google with some of the other etsy stores. So i started to look at the other etsy store pages that are ranking well on google and found that they have a page authority between 48 to 52. So i looked at the backlinks of the ones ranking well on google with high page authority and found that many of their best links came from the internal search results page on etsy.com, and some only had one link from just an arbitrary etsy.com search page. I'm thinking this is because another product being listed on the seach page has a high page authority which then passes some of its link juice onto every other product on the page. But what is interesting is products are always being sold or getting added so even though you are on a search results page that happens to benifit from the link juice of another product the next time the page gets crawled you will be on a different search page. So i am thinking in order to maintain high page authority to you just have to have a lot of products listed so that there is a greater likely hood that you will find yourself on the same search page as another high authority page. I have not been doing SEO very long so i would love to hear what others think. I really have no idea, am i on the right track with this? (edited post) Thanks

Link Frequency
I understand that good link building is all about the quality of the link / the anchor text attached to it. But, what about frequency? Should I build until I can't build anymore? or create a plan to submit links to a certain # of sites per week/month?
