Find out what keywords a site is ranking for
-
I want to find out what keywords a site is ranking for.
In other words, I want to find out how Google is currently seeing a site.
I've used Google KW tool - not very accurate when you simply type in the URL.
Is there anything in SEOMoz I can use? New to this. thanks

SEMRush is exactly what you are looking for. Just plug in a URL and you will see the top organic keywords as well as PPC keywords any website is currently ranking for, the number of searches each month and the estimated percentage of traffic any particular keyword is responsible for generating. It's very useful to quickly find out the keywords your competitors are targeting and ranking for, as well as on your own site to uncover keywords that you may be ranking 19th for that you weren't even aware of.

Hi Clare
If you are talking about your own site, then Dorothea gives a couple of good ideas.
If you're wondering what competitors might be ranking for, there are a couple of options. Keyword Spy is one of my favourites, as it will find the competitive keywords that your competitors are ranking for, potentially allowing you to uncover some hidden gems. There's also nothing stopping you from running this analysis on your own site.
There's a monthly fee, but there's also a free 30-day trial you can take advantage of. Everyone loves a bit of free!
Hope this helps.

Woorank offers a cool tool that gives you insight on what are the keywords you are ranking for well right now.
In addition to this like Kettler suggested Google webmaster is one of the best tool for this thing.Search queries an area which gives you what is your average position,Impressions and clicks on that keywords. In addition to it you will also know what are your top pages.

Best two things you can do are:
1. Add your site to Google Webmaster Tools and then go to Traffic -> Search Queries. The keywords your site ranks for will appear within a few days after you confirmed your site on GWT.
2. Use a traffic tracking service and check if you get any traffic from search engines.

Why do crawlers still track meta keywords if it is not needed in my site?
I have crawled three sites already and it returns more than 5000 errors most of which are MIssing Meta Keywords tags. The sites are on Wordpress and using my SEO plugin I can easily edit the meta keywords of each page, but I am having second thoughts. Well should I?

Find 404 errors
Seomoz is currently reporting 404-errors, without saying where these errors are found. What good is this report when it does'nt say a word about where I can find the page linking to the 404? Screen: http://filer.crenia.no/NJPZ I really think it's time for Seomoz to prioritize upgrading the pro tools. Feels like they haven't been updated in ages..

Erroneous "Weekly Keyword Ranking & On-page Optimization Report" For Campaign
Hi, I just received an email alert from Seomoz telling me my "Weekly Keyword Ranking & On-page Optimization Report " for the period 11/06/12 - 11/13/12 is ready. It is just a copy of the previous report though, all rankings and ranking changes are the same. What is up with that? Best regards, Martin

Is there a way to pull ALL rankings for a site for a set of keywords?
I'm fairly new to SEOMoz, and am looking for a way to pull all rankings for a site with the keywords I've listed, not just the top ranking. So for instance if my site ranks for the keyword "widget maker in MO" in two spots. The current rank report will only show me the top result. I know I can click on each keyword individually and see a full list of the top 50, but I'm looking for a more automated way of doing this (I'm the only SEO at my agency and time is an issue). I previously used Advanced Web Ranking and the tool would like me pull a CSV of the top 30 sites for each keyword I was tracking and then I could just search for my site and pull those results easier. Anyone know of a shortcut or report I should use? Thanks!

Ranking better
Hello there, I am after some specific guidance on how to rank well for the keyword ‘Translation Services’. I have managed to get the site www.pstranslation.co.uk to page 2 of google UK for this key term. The difficulty is I seem to have run out of steam now on how to get higher rankings. After spending a considerable amount of time creating content and gaining links I managed to get the site from around page 15 on google uk to page 4 then to page 2. That’s where it seems to have stopped. I (think I) have got the onsite SEO pretty well nailed. I have got some good linkable content (http://www.pstranslation.co.uk/infog_languages.html,http://www.pstranslation.co.uk/language_resources_indus.html) and have plans to produce a more. Experience working within the language industry tells me that a top 3 position on page 1 for this keyword can very lucrative so my main focus of SEO is to rank well for this key phrase. There is a very good chance you reply will simply be get more (better) links and if it is that’s fine but is there anything else I can do? Am I missing a very obvious trick anywhere? Looking forward to your reply.
