Adding nyc to a keyword in Google Adwords

Hello.
If I have a keyword in Google Adwords that is using phrase match ("keyword"), could it be useful to add the keyword phrase "keyword nyc"?
Even if I did not add the second keyword phrase, my ad would be triggered if someone searched for "keyword nyc." So would it be redundant to add the second keyword phrase?

In Google Adwords you can manage this in your campaign settings, where you have 3 options:

People in, searching for, or viewing pages about my targeted location (recommended)
People in my targeted location
People searching for or viewing pages about my targeted location

Opting for the first option would make it theoretically redundant to add place names to keywords. It does not hurt though to add them, because location identification is not 100% accurate, the keyword matches better with ad copy (when you add NY to the ad copy) etc.

I'd recommend using both "keyword" and "keyword nyc" to see how they perform against each other. If you find that "keyword nyc" is performing well, the Quality Score of that keyword may be higher than if you were simply bidding on just "keyword", which means the cost-per-click may be lower as well. Then you could also change the ad copy to focus more on "keyword nyc" instead of just "keyword" and hopefully increase click-throughs and conversions.
I usually recommend using a combination of keywords and match types in order to target the most specific/relevant phrases as possible (without making them too specific where Google determines a keyword's search volume is so low that your ads won't be shown).

Hi, I was told directly by Google that as long as I had identified the geographic area for which I want my ads to be published (40 mile circle around Seattle, for example) that it would be redundant to add keywords with city names (like business cards tacoma, business cards federal way, etc.)
I am interested in hearing what others have found on this, as well.

Google Analytics Offline Conversions
Hi All, I've been searching the net for this for a while now and haven't found any suitable solutions. I'm looking at a way of importing conversions into Analytics. For a business I work with there is currently a split between Contact Form Submissions (we can track) Mobile Website Calls (we can track) Offline Calls (visit the website via AdWords and pickup the phone) We currently record all call data so we can see just how many calls we are getting from the campaign, and we take notes on keywords and time of call. So manually we can figure out the conversion rate. I was wondering if there was a way to mark certain visits as conversions manually? I'm pretty sure there isn't, but figured this would be the best place to ask! Thanks in advance!

Why are some restricted items showing up on Google Shopping?
Hi there, We sell tactical gear but only "Google Friendly" items in our Google Shopping Product Listing Ads. We don't include anything that goes on a rifle, including rifle scopes. However, we see that companies like ebay and OpticsPlanet can still sell riflescopes: https://www.google.com/#q=Bushnell+3-12x44+Mil+Dot+Tactical+Riflescope&tbm=shop. There's even an article by SearchEngineLand that points this out, too: http://searchengineland.com/google-weapon-listings-shopping-search-126487. So why is it that they can sell them and we can't? What advantage do they have or what have they done?

Add Cyber Monday Terms To Keyword List Effectively
For example, if I sell widgets and I want my ads to appear for "cyber Monday widget deals" If I add "Cyber Monday" I'll come up for every search related to cyber Monday. The alternative seems to be putting every possible word combination in such as... blue widget cyber Monday deals

etc. As you can see there are almost an infinite number of possibilities there making it unfeasible without doing something programmatically such as... X = Widget Descriptor (empty is a possible value)

ie: widget, widgets, wiggy-what Z = Deal Synonym (empty is a possible value)
ie: deal, sale, promotion, promo Query Structures...

CPC or CPM for Google Display Network?
HI all I'm setting up my first Remarketing campaign on the display network. I'm targeting those that have visited a specific product page at the moment and therefore there won't be a massive amount of traffic to remarket to - roughly no more than 50 clicks/day. My question is - what is the best bidding option for a campaign like this? Not sure whether to go for CPM or traditional CPC. I have previously found CPM much better for Facebook but obviously thats very different to Google. All help appreciated!

Changing Adwords campaign titles still mess up Analytics data?
Recently, Google announced an update in de Google Analytics Adwords integration that should wield out the ancient trouble caused by changing your campaign titles in Adwords. http://analytics.blogspot.nl/2013/07/new-adwords-integration-platform.html?utm_source=buffer&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Buffer&utm_content=buffer6bfb4 Two months have passed, but I still see double entries for the same campaign after a (minor) title change. Google Analytics CPC and PPC not Matching
Hi Why do our CPC in Google Analytic not match our PPC in Adword, surely they should be identical? We have Auto-tagging switched on and data in our history is wrong so it is not a timing issue. Thanks

A question for Google Adwords experts
Hi Google Adwords experts, We own the trademarks to some keywords. When you search for these keywords, only our ads will ever appear but they don't appear every time a search is made. They're hardly ever appearing now that we've dropped our bid from $1+ to the minimum first page bid (1 cent in some cases). My question is; are the ads showing less because our bid has dropped so low? If so, why is this? If we own the trademark to the keyword and no one else can display ads, any bid that we submit should be accepted by Google, shouldn't it? If you can include a link to any articles that will give me more info, i'll vote for your answer. Thanks!

Your Google AdWords account has been permanently suspended for repeated violation of AdWords or Landing Page and Site policies in this or a related account.
My client nor I received any warning. We even had a google adwords team optimize the account and my rep does not yet know the reason for the ban. Not sure if its related but their google organic rankings dropped significantly at the same time. https://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=164786 Any advice here? Do these Questions get indexed by google? I will ask my client if I can disclose the domain. Is there any way around a permanent ban? They were spending 50K per month. Is this enough to have any clout?
