On Page Optimization Reports - Huh?
-
I've been working hard to use this EXCELLENT tool for optimize some of what I consider my most important pages . . .
But the automatic tool that pulls pages and grades them (the "summary" of the "on page" report) . . . I don't get it. It only graded three of my pages, and I don't understand how it chose what keywords to grade it for?
I'm just very confused. I don't understand how it chose the pages to grade, not the words it chose to grade it against.

In short if you have a report that shows a F, yet it still ranks in top 50, then maybe you should look into it and see why. Some times google gives you good rank for for your keyword on the wrong page, dont fight it go with it.

Hello Damon,
Please see the SEOmoz pro guide to On-Page reports for the following quote.
The On-page summary automatically generates reports for any of your campaign keywords that rank in the top 50 of your primary search engine. The URL that it grades is the same URL that appears in the search results.
For instance, if you have 75 keywords ranking in the Top 50, you should have 75 On-Page Reports. This generation happens automatically within 24 hours of when your rankings are updated.
In short, the keywords it chose to grade for are the ones you have setup in your keyword tracker. If you want to track more, I suggest adding more keywords.
I hope this helped!

Automated Reports
I just set up automated reports for the first time for my campaigns. They've just run and some are missing alot of data. For instance, one shows zero keywords. When there are in fact lots of keywords in the campaign. Another shows no changes in rankings, when there were changes in ranking. Is there a way to re-run the reports? I've set them up monthly and don't want to wait another month to see if they worked?

Page Rank Report says #6 in Google but I can't find the page anywhere
So SEOMoz says that I've consistently ranked #6 for a certain keyword. But when I search I'm no where to be found. I've done regular searches, incognito and some non-seomoz reports and all come up with nothing in Google. I noticed it a week or two ago, but didn't think it would continue. This is no bueno. I wouldn't be surprised if I got penalized (luckily my homepage relatively well for similar keywords), an old seo consultant used very spammy tactics. I recently removed them, but not before I started to notice that I fell off the map. Why would SEOMoz not recognize this, and continue to say I'm ranking well? The keyword is bpi building analyst the page is http://www.cleanedison.com/courses/bpi-building-analyst

Why have I stopped receiving emails about crawl reports and rankings reports?
I used to receive emails weekly telling me a new crawl had completed and the reports were ready and also another email saying the new rankings and on page reports were ready to view - I am not getting these anymore. Does this mean these are still happening but I need to find them within the package or has something changed? Thanks

Grade F pages - all first in Google
Any anyone explain what value the Grade pages are if, as in my case, I have 9 Grade F pages of which 4 are in first position on Google, 1 is in second and the rest are 4th! I understand why SEOM might be flagging them as Grade F (keyword use in tags etc), but it seems it must be looking at the wrong clues if it still thinks that its recommendations are the most relevant to improving position. These are not obscure terms (Spy devices, electronic surveillance, spy systems, surveillance systems) for a UK site (www.spycatcheronline.co.uk) I appreciate that the points highlighted may need to be addressed, but clearly the pages/site are doing something right to come first - does this not devalue the whole Grade system on SEOM? Plurals and the SEOmoz On Page Report Card
I have some pages on my website that receive an "A" grade with the SEOmoz On Page Report Card if I use a plural term in a phrase (say, "landscape designers in Dallas") but an "F" grade if I use the singular term (say, "landscape designer in Dallas"). Is this a true and accurate reflection of how search engines see the page? Am I going to rank well for plural terms but not for singular, given the specific on-page content I'm using in this example? Or is this an opportunity for SEOmoz to tweak its' algorithm to better reflect the search engines?

On Page Analysis and Grading
I received an email that my on page analysis for my campaigns were completed. But when I click on the link there are no grades there. What does that mean? Another question on this topic....when your campaign is graded are pages graded on all the keywords in the campaign or is each keyword graded invidividually? Thanks!
