In alt tag of a image can we use #hashtag or domain.com ? Is that good SEO or not allowed ?
-
Some of the Google Search shows a title has a hashtag of an article, which contain keyword and while tweeting them, the title which has a hashtag automatically very good used for getting traffic to the blog.
And other one, can we use the hash tag inside the alt attribute ? Or our domain name with .com in it. Like Google.com or #Google ?

Sri,
What I am saying is that this won't be a problem for you. But, I wouldn't do it unless Pinterest is really important to you.
-
You mean the Google will do it !
Please sir your words scars me ! not a native english person.
Ahh - I see what the goal is. I wouldn't worry about Google penalizing you, however for search purposes a hashtag may not perform as well as the word itself. The URL shouldn't cause trouble either.

Kane,
I wouldn't worry about Google penalizing you, - i did not understand ! please give suggestion ! -

In general, I wouldn't bother doing this, unless Pinterest is a very significant aspect of your marketing strategy.

Thank You all, The main reason is to While pinning in the Pinterest - For description they take alt tag for pinning. and # hastag is used to identify in the pinterest or get searched by the ppl.
That's why i thought to add the hash tag - so that users who pin my images from the article will automatically get a search term - which might give me good traffic.
I have seen 500px.com embed code has like 500px.com url - can we add that ?
Or by using these will if get any slap from Google. I am running only this blog for paying my bills ! so it's important for me !
Thank you once again for the reply.

Hey Sri,
Multiple Images on the Same Page:
In a single blog post that has many images, ideally you will want different alt text for each image.
For example, a page of content talking about chocolate donuts might have three images:
- chocolate-donuts.jpg (appropriate alt text would be "chocolate donuts")
- chocolate-donuts-and-coffee-mug.jpg (appropriate alt text could be "chocolate donuts next to a coffee mug" or could also be "chocolate donuts and coffee")
- chocolate-donut-shop-los-angeles.jpg (appropriate alt text would be "Jimmy's donut shop located in Los Angeles")
Hashtags:
Regarding the use of hashtags, I don't see a point to doing this. While a quick test of "donuts" versus "#donuts" in Google image search is showing me different results, I don't think there's enough keyword volume for the hashtag version of any word to both doing this.
That said, you can write whatever you want inside the alt tag, it just won't provide much benefit in my opinion. All of the following are technically fine, however #1 is the only one I would use:
For the same reasons, I don't see a point in using a hashtag in the <title> <em>unless</em> you're trying to target search queries for that exact hashtag.</p> <p> </p> <p>Hope that answered your questions but please let me know if I can clarify anything.</p></title>

It's also very important to accurately describe the image in an alt-image tags to give visually impaired users with screen readers a good user experience. Screen readers literally read what is inside the alt-img tags so that users know what the images that they cannot see (or see clearly) are about.

Thank you.
but how about we use 20 images with hash tag or 35 images for mentiohttp Google, what about the images.
I use many images in an article, and use the same tag for different images. Is that right ?
How about adding hasn't agin the title of an article.
-
You could use that but it's not as good as using a short description of the picture itself. The alt tags are what Google uses to determine what the picture is of since they can't actually see the image. If you use keyword optimized alt tags that are natural not keyword stuffed then you will probably also bring in more Google image traffic.
Hope this helps,

Domain Authority dropping for me and rival companies
Hey, I have noticed in the past week/2 weeks that my websites domain authority has dropped by 2 points but what is weird is all the other website which are our main competitors in our industry have also dropped by 2. I was wondering if anyone knows of any changes that have been made to the way the domain authority is calculated or is it just a coincident that we all dropped at one time?

Using Keyword Tool Results
I love the keyword tool for giving me direction and helping to prioritize. My question: Once I have the prioritized keywords, do you recommend having a page for each of the top keywords, using the keyword as the page name? Or is it better to sprinkle the keywords into existing pages? Thank you.

302 Status Code for .com but 200 Status Code for .com/
I ran a moz crawl report for one of my sites. For mywebsite.com I'm getting a 302 HTTP Status Code but for mywebsite.com/ I'm getting a 200 HTTP Status Code. mywebsite.com -Title tag "blank" - Meta Description "blank" - HTTP Status Code "302" - Referrer "blank" - Content Type Header "blank" - 301/302 target "/" - Rel-Canonical Target "blank" mywebsite.com/ - Title tag "correct tag" - Meta Description "correct tag" - HTTP Status Code "200" - Referrer "mysite.com" - Content Type Header "text/html" - 301/302 target "blank" - Rel-Canonical Target "mysite.com/" Will this cause any issues with the search engines? Is there a way to fix this? I'm on wordpress and use Yoast SEO premium plugin. I have sites ranking in many different niches and have done similar white hat SEO for all of my others. They are ranking in competitive niches but for some reason this site is in the 200-300s for basically all keywords in not a very competitive niche. It has excellent content, links and no penalties. I'm trying to find anything that could be the cause of this. Thanks! <colgroup><col width="64"></colgroup>

How can I deal with tag page duplicate issues
The Moz crawler reported some dupliated issues. Many of them have to do with tags.
Moz Pro | | IamKovacs
Each tag has a link, and as some articles are under several tags, these come up as duplicate content. I read Dr Peter's piece on Canonical stuff, but it's not clear to me if any of these are the solution. Perhaps the solution lies somewhere else? Maybe I need to block the robots from these urls (But that seems counter-SEO-productive) Thanks

Rel-canonical tag confusion
I had our web development company implement the rel-canonical tag on all pages of our website to get rid of the duplicate content months ago. However, when I use the On Page optimizer tool (in previous version) it would tell me I'm not using the rel-canonical tag correctly on the page I was grading and when I untagged use rel-canonical tag in our CMS (which was pointing to the correct page) my grade would go to an A. Now with the new version it says I'm using it wrong either way, when I have the tag used in my CMS and everything else is good I have a B, but one I click to not use Rel-canonical tag I have a C. Both ways it shows up in On-page tool without a check in Apprpriate Use of Rel Canonical. I've attached pictures. In C version it says - Canonical URL "/info/solutions/" and "/info/solutions/" In B version: Canonical URL "/info/solutions/" What am I doing wrong and how do i fix this? Because ALL of my grades have dropped to Bs and Cs. Thanks! iklEHOjJLZE4966 [URL]]([URL=http://imgur.com/5BYcV][IMG]http://i.imgur.com/5BYcV.jpg[/IMG][/URL]) 5BYcV

What SeoMoz tools should I use to track the sucess of my SEO efforts and find possible linking partners?
HI All, I am a new user to SEO moz pro and I have a few questions I hope you can help me with. We are adding a new product category to an existing site and I am wondering what tools to use to track our SEO efforts to build ranking for these new products. I have already started a campaign that tracks the ranking of our primary keywords but I am wondering if there are other tools I should be using as well. Currently our SEO strategy is centered around link building. I have been approaching sites that have content related to our products and offering to write articles, guest blogs, and create educational resources that benefit the sites users and have specific anchor text linking back to our site. Since we are trying to build rank for a new category of products should I be linking to the general product category page or should I try to link to sub categories or individual products? Also I have used the juicy link finder to help me identify related sites that I can approach but I haven't received very many good leads. Is there a more specific way to use the tool or another tool that I should try? If you have any suggestions about other SEO strategies/activities that we should be pursuing please share your ideas! Thanks!
