Why is Google Analytics showing index.php after every page URL?
-
Hi,
My client's site has GA tracking code gathering correct data on the site, but the pages are listed in GA as having /index.php at the end of every URL, although this does not appear when you visit the site pages.
Even if there is a redirect happening for site visitors, shouldn't GA be showing the pages as their redirect destination, i.e. the URL that visitors actually see?
Could this discrepancy be adversely affecting my search performance?
Example page: http://freshstarttax.com/innocent-spouse/ shows up in GA as http://freshstarttax.com/innocent-spouse/index.php
thanks

I had the same problem and its solved when i delete index.php (which is optional and i dont know why i wrote index.php :))
Just blank Default Page line in GA Admin Reporting View Settings section.

Hi Jim - Did this answer your question?
-
Is your default page/site in Google Analytics set to "index.php"? If so, I would recommend changing it to http://freshstarttax.com instead of index.php.
Here's a blog post describing the exact same issue - http://blog.gadodia.net/google-analytics-appends-indexphp-to-urls/

How to Analysis which category gives me more revenue from google analytic?
Hello Experts, For Ecommerce site we do have navigation path like Main Category - Subcategory - Products. That means Men as Main Category and then subcategory Cloths, shoes, bags then product in each subcategory. After implementing enhance ecommerce https://developers.google.com/tag-manager/enhanced-ecommerce#product-clicks I am getting this report - "Product Category (Enhanced E-commerce)" in Product Performance section. Now my query is my all products are linked with sub category i.e. cloths, shoes, bags etc so in Product Category (Enhanced E-commerce) I can see Revenue, transaction related to Cloths, shoes, bags etc but how to judge performance of Main categories like Men, Women, Children etc? Because google works with this method i think - name': productObj.name, // Name or ID is required.

Keeping Google Analytics Data when Moving to Subdomain
Hey All, Against my objections a client has decided to move an existing site into a subdomain while putting up a new site on the main domain. My question revolves around Google Analytics, how do I make sure that I don't lose historical data on the domain before it moves to a subdomain? We're going to be doing a redesign of the old site and I need to keep the historical data so I can prioritize content. What do I need to do? Or will Google analytics recognize the URL's and still attribute the data to those URL's or will I have a separate set of data based on the new URL (with the subdomain). Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Google Analytics Title tag vs landing page visitors numbers
Hi folks, Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why im getting different results in Google analytics. I'm using the Content Efficiency Analysis Report from http://www.kaushik.net which is absolutely awesome. When I search via my title tag I get 920 Unique Visitors over the month but when I search via the landing page URL with the same title tag I get 28. Any ideas to why their should be such a difference. I've also noticed that on that page i'm also getting a Rel Cononical TRUE using a site crawl. Any ideas are much appreciated

Can you filter referring keywords in Google Analytics by language?
Hi All! So yes, I know that you can see/filter the language that the computer or browser was set to (en-us, ru, fr, etc.), but if you look at the keywords used by visitors falling under "fr", some are in English. Is there any way to get, say, just the keywords in Russian - regardless of what the visitor's browser language was set to? Thanks! Aviva
