what I would suggest you do is Google the average time someone gets a response from dmoz
unfortunately I believe you'll find a lot of people waiting years not just 2 weeks. They are all essentially volunteers and there aren't enough of them to keep up with the work. I would not worry about that directory it had its day and it's a directory after all. You can get much better links using different tactics found here in SEOmoz than you ever will by registering your site with dmoz
I'm in agreement with you to leave it there and see if it works. I hope it does definitely do the Google search. But if it tells you something that doesn't agree with or I'm saying please let me know because I would be shocked.

The Open Directory Project (ODP), also known as DMOZ (from directory.mozilla.org, its original domain name) is and severely understaffed I've heard of people waiting 2 years to get there site listed. I would not bother to be completely honest with you and listen to something very important to you. However I do know it will not have a big effect on your rankings whatsoever all they can really do is change your description of your website which Google still honors for some reason. I honestly would put my time in 2 doing something other than trying to get in that particular directory with the site that is more productive than playing with Dmoz I've literally known people that have gotten jobs there to try to get their site listed and that did new work. Hi, I've just noticed a few back links in Google Search Console, I was excited. But when I saw the backlinks, 2 other websites that had completely copied my content and then gave a backlink to my website. Is this bad for SEO and would google penalise my website for this?

I've ran a back link check and discovered a good back link to a site which then gets redirected back to my company's website. I have a feeling that an old SEO agency has purchased a small website which has a decent link back from a relevant organisation with a high Domain authority and then redirects the domain to our website to get the link juice. What are your thought on this? Is this really bad practise and possibly damaging? Thanks, Jim0 -

Does More Guest Posts Effect Website Rankings in a Negative Way?
Hello Everyone, On an average I am getting around 20 backlinks for 15 days. All these backlinks are done through proper outreach and guest posts in relevant websites. We have a team of four people doing only outreach and getting backlinks through proper guest posts. But I am worried on whether it will effect my website ranking in a negative way? Duplicate contents with competitors websites
Hello, I have use the http://copyscape.com to check the duplicate content and found that my website have some errors duplicate contents with other competitors website. But a problem is, I could not define the reason of this (my website copied the competitors website or they copied of mine) To solve this issues, should I modify a unique my contents (this is difficult) or anyone have a good solution for this problem? Best five links to get first for a new website
I wondered if people had a list of the top five or ten links you should build for a new website in order to add some sense of authority. For example should a new website start with key social media websites such as Twitter, Google+ and Linkedin ? Or top level directories such as BOTW and DMOZ? Should they local for niche website directories in their location or vertical? If you had to choose five links - free or paid which would they be?
