Website is not indexed in Google, please help with suggestions
-
Our client website was removed from Google index. Anybody could recommend how to speed up process of re index:
- Webmaster tools done
- SM done (Twitter, FB)
- sitemap.xml done
- backlinks in process
- PPC done
- Robots.txt is fine
Guys any recommendations are welcome, client is very unhappy.
Thank you

What do you mean you had no other choice? What forced you to add these tags to your client's site?! Because they were updating it?
...uhh.. This thread is bizarre. Anyway sounds like all of it was a non-issue. Mark is absolutely correct about your real issue though. Get some redirects in there asap.

Just an aside - you're going to have indexation issues - you have both www and non-www versions live on the site, with no canonicals pointing to one version. You also have index.php as a live page linked to from the logo. I'd definitely recommend implementing canonical tags across the site.

HaHa - did not even check, yeah you are indexed... recent though, no cache on some of the pages has been created yet, so prob within a week?
Homepage was crawled on April 25th

When I search new homes developer st modwen in Google.com (no quote marks & I'm in the UK), this page from your site is at No3 and your homepage is at No4.
When I search st modwen homes, you're at No1. I'm no expert, but that doesn't look like being de-indexed to me.
Or do you simply mean your rankings for the term new homes developer have dropped?
Also, I don't understand this: _buit we had no other option client was changing content on live site, so we had to noindex, nofollow. _
-
Thank you, I already done G+. Regarding noindex, no follow I completely agree, we had no other choice. Thank you again.

Getting G+'s on fresh QUALITY content is one of the best ways to quick index with Google in my opinion these days.
Just a suggestion, I would NEVER noindex an indexed site just because of content changes.
make a clone, point the domain using vhost, temporarily to a subdirectory make your changes then re-point domain in vhost (or if cpanel just use a pointer) - This way no one is the wiser to the changes INCLUDING Google.
Or just make the changes, the ramificatrions of noindex are much more long lasting than a content change (unless it was left in shambles for weeks)

Google Index Constantly Decreases Week over Week (for over 1 year now)
Hi, I recently started working with two products (one is community driven content), the other is editorial content, but I've seen a strange pattern in both of them. The Google Index constantly decreases week over week, for at least 1 year. Yes, the decrease increased 🙂 when the new Mobile version of Google came out, but it was still declining before that. Has it ever happened to you? How did you find out what was wrong? How did you solve it? What I want to do is take the sitemap and look for the urls in the index, to first determine which are the missing links. The problem though is that the sitemap is huge (6 M pages). Have you find out a solution on how to deal with such big index changes? Cheers, Andrei

Reading suggestions for a local french small biz website?
Greetings Mozians! I'm working on this small biz french website in north east canada. It's very small and the domain is new, we have no backlinks, so it's hard to rank for keywords. We do have a specific target with few expressions in mind. It's not really competitive but we don't rank really well. Do you have any articles or document that you would suggest me reading? Thanks a lot everyone. Here's the site : http://www.copiescourrierplanslg.com/accueil

Has anyone seen a spammy competitors website hit by the Google changes?
I wonder, after all the talk of Penguins and Pandas if anyone has seen evidence of a competitor who you know has 1000's of spammy links removed from their page one position in Google. I have a trade competitor who appeared from nowhere about 12 months ago with 11,000+ back-links most of which were totally unrelated to our trade and appear to be link-farm links for the most part. After reading about Google's changes I thought the site might be hit but it remains up there in the first 2 or 3 results on page one. I wonder if anyone has seen similar sites penalised? Colin

Indexing non-indexed content and Google crawlers
On a news website we have a system where articles are given a publish date which is often in the future. The articles were showing up in Google before the publish date despite us not being able to find them linked from anywhere on the website. I've added a 'noindex' meta tag to articles that shouldn't be live until a future date. When the date comes for them to appear on the website, the noindex disappears. Is anyone aware of any issues doing this - say Google crawls a page that is noindex, then 2 hours later it finds out it should now be indexed? Should it still appear in Google search, News etc. as normal, as a new page? Thanks. 🙂

Wrong Page Indexing in SERPS - Suggestions?
Hey Moz'ers! I have a quick question. Our company (Savvy Panda) is working on ranking for the keyword: "Milwaukee SEO". On our website, we have a page for "Milwaukee SEO" in our services section that's optimized for the keyword and we've been doing link building to this. However, when you search for "Milwaukee SEO" a different page is being displayed in the SERP's. The page that's showing up in the SERP's is a category view of our blog of articles with the tag "Milwaukee SEO". **Is there a way to alert google that the page showing up in the SERP's is not the most relevant and request a new URL to be indexed for that spot? ** I saw a webinar awhile back that showed something like that using google webmaster sitelinks denote tool. I would hate to denote that URL and then loose any kind of indexing for the keyword.

My site is duplicated on the internet, please help.
I've been told that my site: "- your site is duplicated on the internet. Both www.joeyvalyphotography.com and joeyvalyphotography.com are valid internet addresses. This is a problem for SEO." I am wondering, what's the cause of this, and how it can fixed. Thanks In advanced, Joey
