My Campaign only crawled 3 pages on my site
-
On my first crawl of a new campaign, the software only crawled 3 pages.
any ideas?
-
Were you able to get this taken care of?
-
I'd like to thank everyone for responding.
-
I found something. I´ve just tried to scan your site with screaming frog and i found only 3 results... BUT when I increase the response timout of scanning I could find 445 itens (256 pages).
You have a issue with your code. page speed can show you few tips!-)
-
There could be an issue with the crawler and the javascript. Running the PageSpeed Analysis, there were a few flags for JavaScript. I have a screen shot of the overview.
-
Here are some common reasons that may happen. If this doesn't solve it, a note to help desk at help@seomoz.org will be able to sort things out. Thanks!
-
thx for the compliment, we spend a lot of time on the design of all our elements.
i thought it might also have to do with some javascript, but like yourself, I'm not a programmer and can't tell. At least we were thinking the same thing.

sorry, if you remove the XXX, it will bring up our site, but I don't want this SEO Moz thread to be popping up when people search for it in google.
-
What's "XXXaceXXXscholarships.org" ??
Is that supposed to be your site's url?
-
I am not good enough with code to be able to look at your page (which is very well designed by the way) but on my site it didn't read most of the stuff because of javascript. Some of our menus were done with it and the crawler couldn't read it.

Unsolved Bug in site crawl analysis - 308 redirect flagged as temporary
Hi, we have some 308 redirects on our website, which are permanent redirects, but the site crawler is flagging them as temporary currently. Screenshot 2022-02-10 14.24.26.png

SEO and page redirects from a high ranking site quandary
We are launching a site on a new domain that is taking the place of a group (subset) of pages in an existing domain. BUT The pages on the existing domain have really good SEO rankings in a very competitive category and we want to leverage the traffic it gets today in the best way, so.... Which of the following would be the best practice in this case (in regards to SEO)? Modify the existing pages' content so that there are prominent calls to action that lead the users to the new domain. Create permanent redirects for the existing pages for their counterparts on the new domain. This is more direct for the user but we don't know how it will affect the current ranking. Something other than the above. Many thanks for you help Gary

Crawl report - duplicate page title/content issue
When the crawl report is finished, it is saying that there are duplicate content/page titles issues. However there is a canonical tag that is formatted correctly so just wondered if this was a bug or if anyone else was having the same issues? For example, I'm getting a error warning for this page http://www.thegreatgiftcompany.com/categories/categories_travel?sort=name_asc&searchterm=&page=1&layout=table

Transfering Page Authority
Hi, I have recently change my url architecture with site redesign and was just doing some analysis of the old and new pages. I seem to be losing a little bit of Organic Search because of it. As an example this old diving page in open site explorer shows a Page Authority of 46 whilst the new diving page shows a Page Authority of 22. I have a 301 redirect going from the old page to the new, but that seems to be quite a drop in Page Authority. Is there anything else I can be doing to improve upon it? Thanks, Adam

Moz crawling
Hi Everyone! I'm new to the SEOMoz and wanted to find out if there is a way to decrease the waiting time for the campaign crawl. I have made a lot of changes based on the first crawl and would like to see how these are reflected on the reports, but can't until the next crawl is performed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it really take 3-7 days to crawl a site?
This is what you say on your website: Please note: depending on the size and speed of your site, it may take between 3 and 7 days to complete your crawl. Are you guys kidding? This is unacceptable for almost all of my deadlines, and I suspect 99% of the SEO world... you can fly to the moon faster.

The Site Explorer crawl shows errors for files/folders that do not exist.
I'm fairly certain there is ultimately something amiss on our server but the Site Explorer report on my website (www.kpmginstitutes.com) is showing thousands of folders that do not exist. Example: For my "About Us" page (www.kpmginstitutes.com/about-us.aspx), the report shows a link: www.kpmginstitutes.com/rss/industries/404-institute/404-institute/about-us.aspx. We do have "rss", "industries", "404-institute" folders but they are parallel in the architecture, not sequential as indicated in the error url. Has anyone else seen these types of error in your Site Explorer reports?
