Fix Missing Meta-Description?
-
We have a Wordpress site. SEOMoz crawl diagnostics are showing 144 missing meta-description tags. The problem is that about 100 are blog pages:

http://www.portlandpersonalinjuryaccidentlawyer.com/blog/page/16/
http://www.portlandpersonalinjuryaccidentlawyer.com/blog/page/17/
Etc.
We have a meta-description for http://www.portlandpersonalinjuryaccidentlawyer.com/blog/ but not for every page....
is this a problem? How can we fix it?
Thanks!

just noindex them and move on.
You have more use for your time vs worrying about wordpress pages.

Page 16 and Page 17 are not necessarily duplicates of each other but since each page is showing the entirety of the articles, instead of a snippet/preview/etc, every article would be a duplicate of the exact content showing on those pages.
So, I'd definitely agree with NoIndex on those pages.

True. Google looks for description also inside the text, non only reading meta tag. It depends on the search query.
But are you sure that Google consider these twoo pages as duplicate content?

I'm not quite sure.

Meta descriptions are not a huge issue. Google will use them as a suggestion for description in the search results, but will generate a description even if the meta tag is missing.
What may be a bigger problem is that you have all these blog pages indexed, which is basically just duplicate content. I would go ahead and put a noindex/follow meta tag on these pages to prevent them from getting indexed.

On-Page SEO Fixes - Are They Relative?
So, I'm implementing on-page fixes for a site that my company runs SEO services for (www.ShadeTreePowersports.com). However, I was wondering if there was a way to rank a pages' SEO quality, in general? As of now, it seems like the only way your recommendations can be consumed and altered is on a keyword basis. However, this seems be the reason I have a good amount of my F-Grades. Since my website sells powersports apparel and accessories, we cover a variety of applicable (but different) keywords like 'Motorcycle parts' or 'snow tubes,' because we sell so many different types of products. But, when I look at my F-Grades - SEOMoz is telling me my homepage is ranking poorly for a multitude of those pertinent keywords - but only because my page isn't catered specifically to each of them (IE: 'Snowmobile Parts' - 'Water Sport Apparel') But, with so many different types of products, catering to a specific one is impossible and would be detrimental. Is there a way to see how a page ranks, without factoring in those keywords? Or a better way that I can use these recommendations more efficiently? Thanks guys!

Duplicate Page Content and Title - Miva - How to fix?
Hi, I'm new to SEOmoz and just diving into it. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I use Miva Merchant as my storefront interface. SEMOz is returning a bunch of duplicate page content and duplicate page titles and I can't figure out what to do about it. It seems it may have something to do with Miva shortlinks. I click on the dup URL's in SEMOz and it brings me to a dead page. I can't figure out where it's coming from. I know without seeing the actual information it'll probably be tough to help me but any suggestions would be appreciated. I try to fix them and come to a point (after about three hours of getting nowhere) it becomes too frustrating. Thanks!

Meta keywords no longer in use
Can someone point me to the official article explaining why meta keywords are no longer taken into account by search engines please? I know Moz has indicated that search engines ignore them, but I would like to read a bit more about it - what was the reason behind it and since when.

Title missing or empty on non-html downloadable files?
My site, www.cnccookbook.com, has lots of links for downloading files. These files are not html and they don't have .htm or .html extensions. So why does SEOMoz flag them for missing titles? Is there some other way these files should be handled for better SEO?

Open Site Explorer Missing URL's
I see a link to my site on a couple different url's, but they are not listed in OSE. The links have been active for a long time too. Does OSE not track all inbound links from all sites? Thanks, Stephen
