Content - Onsite Blog vs Article Submission

Hey Folks,
First post!
I have a 4 year old site with reasonable authority (49) and lots of content.
Easy first question. I plan to create lots more unique, useful and relevant content however I'm in a quandary as to whether to:
A. Post the content on our sites blog
or
B. Submit the article to an article directory like ezine-articlesand backlink to my site.
Is one better than the other?
Thanks,
Richard

Stay away from article directories IMO.

I would create a piece of content for the head term and call it the mom. Then I would create many children with each child targeting a tail set of synonyms referencing the mother.
These children would live on the target site as well as related topical sites and web 2.0 properties.
Mom and children alike would get pretty and all dressed up with table of content's style interlinking to encourage user engagement and long click like activity, especially on the target site.
Long story short is that both are important and if the content is good you will receive tiered social signals and linking naturally via this practice.
That said... I am a very big proponent of increased site production and if I had to choose one over the other I would take fresh topical content with proper interlinking on my site any day as it means new ranking opportunity, user engagement and almost always new traffic.

Thanks Michael, and thanks for suggesting the guest blogging aspect.
Is there a good resource for locating niche blogs?

Got it. Thanks Tim, I've been wondering that for a while now.
OK - follow up to this:
If I post the content on my blog and it's relevant to one of my landing pages I'm going to put at least one link in the blog article to that page. Any reason not to do this.
Any other good practice to how to use links in the article?

I would agree with Tim that your site is going to do a whole world of better than the article sites. I'd recommend if you are looking at the article sites for backlinking or traffic then you adjust your gaze to guest blogging for other great sites in your niche. This will give you far better ROI for time, backlinking juice and potential for natural traffic.

Hands down, your site/ blog. Then social share it and get the word out. Not even a close comparison.

Blog post outreach for backlinks
Hi all, My understanding of obtaining backlinks by way of blogpost outreach is that it's best to include several outbound links to related high domain websites within blog post copy (as well as a link to the website you're marketing, obviously) such as this post https://www.scoopearth.com/why-should-you-use-royalty-free-music-for-youtube-videos/ or this one https://small-bizsense.com/how-to-create-quality-content-for-your-business/. However, I've recently read a few articles that suggest that from a human perspective only having one clear link in the copy, such as this post https://www.clichemag.com/entertainment/movies/the-benefits-of-royalty-free-cinematic-music-for-your-videos/, increases the chance of the reader visiting the site in question. I guess the thinking is that if there's only one link to be clicked on it increases the chances of click-thru, as opposed to the reader possibly clicking on another external link that's only there because of current SEO advice. So is it best to follow SEO guidelines and include several outbound links within guest blog posts, or is it better to only have the one link to your client's site (to focus the readers attention on it)?

Parent pages : Duplicate content
Hello, I think this question relates to "Parent pages" structure or SILO but I couldn't find an answer online. For a website that sell products, for example "Appliances". A link to this page appears in 1 category of the menu named "kitchen" but also in another 1 category named "household appliances". It means that it appears twice in the menu but with a unique URL. Would that affect SEO ? Is it duplicate content ? And would it be better to choose 1 father or let it that way ? Thanks for your help. Max

Press releases and duplicate content
Hi Mozzers, What does Google think about a press release, appearing on lots of websites (relevant websites) as part of a link building campaign. Does the fact that this press release content is duplicated across lots of sites have a negative impact? Thanks in advance

Does embedded content (from my site) help seo
hi i am creating a new accommodation site and will have some great videos on it (fly bys of local beaches and virtual tours of hotels etc). from an seo perspective i have two questions: 1. should i host on my own site or youtube/vimeo - its a new site but in the long run i want my site to get the credit 2. i will be giving the hotels the chance to embed and video content i have on their own sites. does this help my own seo juice and if so is there a particular way it should be done. there will be around 90 well established local hotels in total so figured it should add up.

Adding backlinks in old articles?
I am trying to get a few more links to get a few of my pages to rank and I am thinking about adding some more backlinks on my own site on some of the old blog articles as well as some of my other related blogs. My question is - is it still beneficial to link from these articles that are say 1 year old or more, or would it be far more valuable to write new articles on the blog containing those same links?

Separate blog url helpful?
I am managing a website for a hotel brokerage firm. The main URL is www.hotelassetsgroup.com but we started a new blog with the URL www.hotelsforsaleblog.com. We chose the blog URL because it has the words "hotels for sale." The main website has a tab at the top titled "Blog" which links to the blog URL. I am not sure if this is helping us or not because the main URL and blog URL are both competing for the name of the business "Hotel Assets Group." The blog has very little interlinking within the same URL because it mainly links to the main website. Should we combine the two URLs together and just have the blog URL be the same like- hotelassetsgroup.com/blog or something like that?

Creating a separate blog off our website
A while ago we purchased some domains that are related to our industry. I'm fairly sceptical about using them, but I am interested what peoples thoughts are. We are currently producing quite alot of engaging content and although it's industry related, it is sometimes quite broad and not always appropriate for our company blog. I have been debating whether or not it will be a good idea to use one of the domain names that we have purchased to create more of an industry blog that is off our website. I'm not sure if this is considered a "black hat" technique by using domains registered to us? And also whether or not Google will punish because we are blogging from the same IP address and linking back to our site ? I look forward to hearing what people think. Thanks,
