Domain Authority
-
Hello everyone,
My question is: is there any manual way to increase domain authority, rather than link building to domain (homepage) ?
Thanks
Eugenio

Howdy,
Great question! First of all, I recommend reading this official article on Domain Authority:
http://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority
Domain Authority is primarily a link-based metric, so external links to your website are going to influence more than anything. But Domain Authority is also a combination of all our other metrics, such as MozTrust, so the quality of the links that you build is important as well.
Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts. Building your reputation by acquiring links from other high authority, trusted domains is the best way to increase your Domain Authority. It's a hard route, but the rewards are lasting.

thanks dario,
I also found this good article about the subject http://bloggingzene.com/domain-authority-increase-tips/
content seems to be the fastest solution

I think that if you write a big web with lots of pages and links in them, you also increase authority, but i am not sure. I think mainly and unfortunately is by link building

Author schema and Wordpress Author Page
Hi everyone, Has anyone tried using the author schema on their Wordpress author page or on their G+ profile or on their Moz profile? Would it be a good idea to always use it where you publish? I publish on several blogs Thanks Carla example: Use it here - http://www.posicionamientowebenbuscadores.com/blog/author/carla/ http://moz.com/community/users/392216 It seems like I would be over doing it.

Page Rank 7 - Domain Authority of 6 (How does this happen)
Iv never seen this before, but what do you guys make of this? http://www.becitywise.com/ According to Google, its a PR7 website. SEOMOZ are reporting a DA of 6 (1 link to the domain) http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php Any thoughts as to how or why Google have assigned such a high PR? According to Whois, the domain was registered on 16/07/12 so its brand new... The funny thing is, many people purchase links based on the Page Rank, so this guy must be making a fortune. (the Friends links I assume are all paid links) Greg

Vanity Virgin Domains
Hi, I've acquired a vast amount of domains related to my industry over the past 2-3 years. The domains themselves are keyword rich, and likely to be highly searched in their respective terms. Most of the domains are virgin names, some are expired and re-registered names. I can appreciate re-registered names likely retain little value, but I'm wondering, if one was to setup each of the virgin vanity domains as a 301 re-direct, and add the redirected domains as a new submit to google, would there be any keyword relevance, or would this likely be a wasted effort or result in a penalty? I initially registered the domains to protect intellectual property, or prevent others from benefiting from the competitive terms (evil, I know), but I'd like benefiting from them, rather than renew each year and have them site there and do nothing. Thanks!

Problem with indexed files before domain was purchased
Hello everybody, We bought this domain a few months back and we're trying to figure out how to get rid of indexed pages that (i assume) existed before we bought this domain - the domain was registered in 2001 and had a few owners. I attached 3 files from my webmasters tools, can anyone tell me how to get rid of those "pages" and more important: aren't this kind of "pages" result of some kind of "sabotage"? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this. Thank you, Alex Picture-5.png Picture-6.png Picture-7.png
