Has the World moved on or is it in the same place?
-
The question is, do I build my personal profile or company brand profile?
I blog, I tweet, I facebook, I G+, I use LinkedIn, I have accounts with other social media platforms and I am still not sure whether the most effective route to drive traffic is to use my personal or brand profile!
My face is v much part of the brand (launched June2013), I have a Disqus account in the brand name and i have joined other communities in both brand & personal names - it occurred to me whether I am diluting my overall "authority" by using both.
It also occurred to me that when signing up to new forums by using my brand Twitter account to register this will leave all comments as the brand, when perhaps others will be looking for a "real person"?
Previous advice sometime ago was to use both, but I wondered whether expert thinking had moved on?
Thanks
Ash

I can't seem to load your page at this moment, but I would generally recommend trying to tie your brand to yourself. For example -- When someone offers a helpful answer on Moz (or a personal finance blog, or whatever else) users are inclined to see who they are. In your case, if you're providing useful financial information over the appropriate social channels then people will be interested to see who you are. Your experience and the quality of your responses will draw people to your brand, as you have built some trust with the users.
TLDR: Your name is old and experienced, but your brand is a new player in a crowded space. Use your name to draw people to your brand
Hope that helps.

Hi Oren its a personal finance brand www.over50choices.co.uk, I am the face of the brand as we want to build credibility from my 30 years in the industry.

Also, someone who I follow for this type of stuff is Gary Vaynerchuk - follow him on FB/twitter and check out his website. http://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/
He is unbelievable.
His mindset and advice will surely help you figure out your social media strategy.

Agree with Oren - finding the right balance should be majorly dependent on your company and/or profession.

Can you get into a little bit more what you do? If your company is just you, or you yourself are the product (think lawyer, florist, mechanic, anything where the specific individual is important). This seems to be the case with you since you say your face is a huge part of the brand then I would focus on building your personal brand. That being said, be sure not to neglect the company either. Since your company is relatively new, it's important to have a strong push of promotion for each.

I think you should use both - each when appropriate.
You should focus on building both brands - your personal brand, and your business brand - both will pay dividends.

Is constant contact a good source for seo links? how about best of the web? Is tweet angels a smart move? anybody got a good list of strong DA and PA link companies you can do business with and also get strong follow links from? thanks...
Thanks for all you guys do I am writing because I am trying to build a company's SEO link profile with links that have super high, and super stable Domain and Page Authorities (as well as solid Trust and Citation flows). I do this organically and even build my own sites using moz strategies - BUT, I am in need of your best advice: What are some links you can "buy" (as a result of using services from) that are strong and dofollow? Is Constant Contact good? Is Best of the Web good? tweetangels smart? I have seen several businesses with constant contact links (very high domain authority) on their profiles and as the head of business development for a mid-sized marketing firm, I want to see if constant contact, botweb, etc. are smart sources to put my clients on for the sake of the seo profile links - I am looking for strong, long-term perma-bumps for my companies and don't want to miss out on low-hanging fruit (that won't poison me in the end). Can you speak to that please? Do you guys have a list of directory links or 'whatever' links that are "get-able" by a regular guy like me that are not simply 2.0 nofollow? Thank you Ben

SaaS to manage Several Google Places/G+ accounts
Hi, how are you? I have a client that is a company that has aproximately 30 franchises. For each franchise, I created a Google Places (now My Business) profile, and then for each profile I have a G+ profile. The problem is that I need a SaaS or a software that allows me to post in each of those profiles automaticaly, like Hootsuite (when I enter with the account I have registered the Places profiles, it catches the G+ profile of that person, not the GPlaces accounts). Do you know any? Thanks!

Authorship Implementation - Is it needed to place Rel='Publisher' on every page on eCommerce
Hi, On my eCommerce site I've placed rel='publisher' only on the homepage and rel='author' on all of the article pages. Is that the way to do it? Do I need to add rel='publisher' also on the article pages besides for rel='author'? P.S
Social Media | | BeytzNet
Even though I placed rel='publisher' only on the homepage, when I use Google's test tool (http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets) I see my publisher ID also on product category pages (that don't have publisher nor author on them but do have regular +1 buttons). How is that? (bacuase of the +1 button)1 -

Facebook City Places Pages
I would like to know how a business with multiple geographic locations can be listed on the Facebook City Page for each of it's separate office locations? Would you need to list the address of each office on the business' Facebook Business Page? Is it even possible to list more than one address per Facebook Business Page? Thanks!

Places for business vs. Google+ personal profile
I am still trying to figure out Places and Google+. Could someone please help me understand how my Google+ profile (that it attached to and can be accessed through my gmail account) interacts with my Places page (which requires my gmail credentials to administer, but can only be accessed through the Places page itself)? Do my posts on my personal profile enhance my Places listing? Any help would be appreciated.

Guide on how to transition you Google places listing to Google plus Places

Google Places Pages and social icons
I have a business that works in many cities across Texas. Our home base is in Austin and i have a Google Places page set up for Austin. I have a page dedicated to each major city in Texas talking about clients we've worked with in each city, etc.. I am placing social icons on each page and Google Places is one of the Icons and i was concerned that if Google sees a link to our Austin places page on our Houston page that the Houston page might be considered less relevant for a Houston search being as Google takes note of addresses on pages to consider relevance. Will my page suffer in the serps if i link to our Austin local page on our other city pages in the google places icon? Second question: What are the best social icons to put on my web pages for the best traffic? Take care,
