Does Moz Analytics need Google Analytics installed?
-
I have a few websites on my Moz Analytics account but only have data for one of them.
All my other accounts keepy saying come back in 24hrs for more data, although there is no data available.
Do I need to connect each account with Google Analytics before Moz populates its own analytics?
-
Hi David!
Correct - if you wish to see traffic data, you will need to connect GA to each of your Moz Analytics campaigns.
If you do not have a GA account for each campaign, then you still be able to see other data and metrics about your campaign, for example links data, mentions, crawl data, and any social accounts you have connected.
If you have connected a GA account to your campaign and you are not seeing data appear, that might be a different issue. I would recommend disconnecting GA from the affected campaigns and then re-connecting. If this doesn't work then let our help team know and we can help you debug.
Thanks!
Jon

Thanks Gregory for your answer.
Very informative.

Yes and no, no its not needed, but there is some extra data that they get from GA, such as traffic data, such as number of visits, keywords sending visits.

Hi David,
As far as I can tell, a campaign does not have to have GA connected to it. But it behaves differently when it does. Also weird things happen when old Moz Pro campaigns are viewed in the Moz Analytics dashboard. Here's what I am seeing in my MOZ account...

Moz Analytics and Moz Pro behave very differently.
-
a week ago I created a quick campaign in Moz Analytics just to test something, I did not associate it with any Google Analytics account. It has data in it now, but not as much as other campaigns that are associated with a GA account.
-
also a week ago I re-activated some old Moz Pro campaigns that do not have GA associated with them. They now appear in the Moz analytics dashboard - but with the spinning icon and the "We are collecting your data now. Check back within 24 hours" mesage.
-
to view those old Moz Pro campaigns in functioning manner, I have to skip the Moz Analytics dashboard and view them through the old Moz Pro dashboard which is here http://pro.moz.com/campaigns/
Hope this helps you.

Hi David,
Ofcourse it does, you will need your GA ID so MoZ can drag the data from your web site. I doubt there is a service out there that doesnt need GA or code installed in order to provide you with data.

Moz Site Crawl can't index WIX sites
We've been attempting to work on some SEO for a new potential client however they are using a WIX site. We've noticed that Moz SEO tools will not index any WIX sites. e.g. https://www.sharonradisch.com/ (which is one of their case studies). Anyone seen this that can offer any advice? Thanks,

Why is Moz unable to crawl my site?
Was hoping someone could advise why Moz is unable to crawl my site at https://www.oceaniacruises.com **Moz was unable to crawl your site on Oct 5, 2017. **Our crawler was banned by a page on your site, either through your robots.txt, the X-Robots-Tag HTTP header, or the meta robots tag. Update these tags to allow your page and the rest of your site to be crawled. If this error is found on any page on your site, it prevents our crawler (and some search engines) from crawling the rest of your site. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Newbie question: 5 ways to get the most from Moz
Hi there, I'm new to Moz. I work for a furniture retailer and I'm in the process of auditing our digital presence and improving how we appear on Google and therefore to our customers. I am working on our website's content and SEO, Google Local Listing, getting our products added to Google Shopping and updating our social media accounts, removing old accounts and improving current ones. I'd like to know how to make the most of Moz. I have set our site up in Moz Pro but I'm unsure where to go next, so I was wondering if you'd be able to offer 5 tips on where to really get started. Thank you.

Google+ Not Working in my Profile
I would like to add my Google+ and Facebook addresses in my profile but when I do it says my vanity names are not correct. I am copying and pasting directly from the Google+ page and Facebook page so I do not know what to do. When I do try to just add the numbers for my Google+ page that is not working either. Thanks - Travis

Why can't I add more than one campaign in my trial version of MOZ?
Hi, I'm on the 30 day trial and I can only run one campaign right now. I thought I could add in 5 campaigns. When I go into Manage Campaigns the 'add a campaign' button is light blue and I can't click it. Is this just because I'm on the trial? Or should I be able to add 4 more campaigns?

New to MOZ and working with Web Mentions. Can I use operators?
Our name is HostDime but often put as Host Dime (2 words) by news sources and other sites. How do I set up my brand mention so I only get a notice when both words appear, in order, together. I don't want "That host is a dime" and such. Can I use a +Host +Dime?"Host Dime"? Do these operators work in MOZ?

Whenever your account is suspended, your campaigns are archived. The good news is that reviving archived accounts is really simple. Go to your Campaigns section: http://pro.moz.com/campaigns
At the top of the page there is a "Archived Campaigns" Tab, give it a click.
From here, you should easily be able to "activate" your campaigns. My Google Analytics profile won’t stay connected to my campaign and/or I am missing profiles in my GA Settings. Google goes through a process called Oauth when it comes to authorizing access of services that are linked to your Google account. Under any single Google account, there are about 20 tokens account wide. Those tokens are used to provide access for a variety of services from Gmail to apps on your phone. Once you hit the limit, which is 20 for most users, the system automatically revokes the oldest token to provide a new one. I'm not certain if this is causing the issue on your account, but it is a great place to start troubleshooting. You may be able to correct the issue by manually revoking your tokens to make room for new ones on your account and then reconnecting the account to Moz. Here are the instructions on how to do that: Follow this link https://accounts.google.com/b/0/IssuedAuthSubTokens. This page displays the current OAuth tokens you are using. Once you reach the page, simply press the revoke button (illustrated on this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/vjh3KrjRRIe) for services that you are not using right now. Once you are done with, that simply go back to your campaign settings, disconnect your GA profile and reconnect. The below process may also fix this issue for you. Head to your campaign settings page on your overview page. Disconnect your Google Analytics connection. Go back to your settings page and click on "connect account." Please make sure you log into the correct GA account. 🙂 Hurray! This should let you grab the most current traffic data! Oops! try refreshing page! I can’t access any of my Campaign data.
This issue is normally machine specific and can be a bit complex. An individual forum has been created to address this: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/28203486-Oops-Try-Refreshing-the-Page-Error-showing-on-all-pages- Unable to retrieve historical ranking CSVs. Some users did not receive their requested Historical Rankings CSVs. This has mostly been affected by a change or update to your competitors after a campaign has been setup for a while.
