SEO wise - what is the impact of Avatar on a blog

Hi all,
At the moment we are at the verge of building finally a blog. For SEO purpose I demanded that it would include social interactions with Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and some more. Especially Google+ for the authorship part.
But now they come asking me if they can work with Gravatar http://www.gravatar.com/support/what-is-gravatar/ - a Globally Recognized Avatar. I never worked with it before and can't find anything if it will negatively impact SEO on authorship - but I'm still not sure.
Does the Gravatar interfer with Google+ authorship?
I could find information about having to setup the author part in the Gravatar, but this doesn't give me the answer if this helps with Google+.If anybody has experience of can tell me / point me in the right direction it much appreciated. Or maybe having a better solutions than the Gravatar.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but if you are already committed to using Google+ and including authorship on your site's pages which is linked to your Google+ profile, then I don't think you need it. I would use Google+ instead.

Will Huge bounce rate from social media visits affect SEO or website Ranking according to Google algorithm factors?
We have one website and have posted our blog post url in the social media sites and got almost 5k visits in 3 days’ time, with 11sec avg time on site, zero conversions and with 97% bounce rate. Quick Start SEO Tasks for Brand New Multi Regional Website
Hello All Webmasters, I have questions on organic visits for my fresh website targeted in Australia. I am a webmaster of http://www.canvaschamp.com.au/ and we have launched this domain before 20 days around on the date 7th Aug 2014. I have set up display network ads campaign for quick visits and going to start Product Listing Campaign soon for our products to get transaction. I also set up my social media accounts but have not update anything with them yet. But my biggest concern is to build organic links through various link building activities as per latest trend. (Right now didn't get any organic visit) Which Link building activities still works to get maximum organic visits and how can i improve my social media performance? Should i keep my link building activities limited to .com.au websites or can i promote globally?? Manual submission vs automated submission to social bookmarking sites for blog posts
Howdy Mozzers! Say we're creating great content on our blog and would like this content to be seen and shared by as many people possible. Should we submit our blog posts manually to social book marking sites or use an automated service like Only Wire? The advantage of using automation is obvious, saves time on submission. Is it wise for employees to be tied to a company's content with rel=author?
We're an e-commerce company that sells consumer goods. We are launching a blog that will have advice, tips, etc. on topics related to our industry. I'd like for us to implement rel=author on the content. If we rel=author the content to an employee, what are the possible repercussions if that employee leaves the company? I know the markup is pretty new and hasn't been widely implemented, but has anyone dealt with this?

Facebooking and Liking - Whis is best SEO practice for Rankings
Hi everyone! , i am a rookie with SEO. I have a very specific question for which i would love to hear your opinions on this. I have a facebook fan page about my company. We try to post quality stuff in regard to the industry we are in. However, we are social people, and i have seen improvements whenever we post more "social" topics such as TGIF, Photos, DIY themes. My question is (Actually two questions) : Is there a direct correlation or metric between rankings and "likes", the size of your facebook community ? If so, which has more power or effect on rankings. Facebook Likes generated from your website , or General Likes of posts within your existing community. Hope to hear from ya! Are there any proven SEO benefits of presence and popularity on Facebook, just as there is supposedly benefit from Google+?
How much does visibility on Facebook (or for that matter, Twitter) impact search engine results? I did see a post recently on SEOMoz recently related to that--- but do others have similar experience/ have data to show strong correlation between FB shares/ Likes and search engine results (on Google)? The second, FB-related question is: what are your thoughts on the effectiveness of Facebook for a B2B audience, particularly in a rather niche sector - let's say industrial products? LinkedIn and SEO -- Is there a relationship?
I've analyzed the link profiles for 12 sites recently. I noticed that none included a link from LinkedIn, though each company had links on LinkedIn (I suspect this is because LinkedIn redirects outbound links). Are links on LinkedIn really good for SEO? Best place to have blog reside
So... I have a fairly new wordpress blog at myblog.com, but the ultimate goal is to drive traffic and increase rankings for mysite.com. With the rise of twitter/facebook influences do you think best to migrate the blog to a directory within www.mysite.com aka www.mysite.com/blog and then 301 direct all the existing pages to the new pages created or is it better to keep the 2 domains seperate and then just have links in the navigation of both sites to each other? My initial thoughts are to incorporate it within www.mysite.com/blog but not 100% sure? Quick follow up question.. Is there an easy code snipit to add to the .htaccss file to 301 direct myblog.com to mysite.com/blog? Thanks for any help and thought on this! John
