Content Marketing: Use of the words "guest post" in outreach email

Hello,
I'm marketing a useful article in our niche, appealing to the humanitarian side of things and I always show I'm a reciprocator. Should my wording in my outreach email be:
...to write a guest post around this article: http://...
Or should I just ask if they want help with content and go from there?
In other words, should I always call it a guest post for maximum conversions?

Be sure you're targeting the person/writer and not the company.

I already do that. I facebook like, facebook share, comment, retweet, add to circles, comment on their blog post, post in facebook on a helpful blog post. Then I wait and then I send them an outreach email - usually trying to reach a specific person. If nothing else, I call.
Bigger companies don't tend to notice. I feel like you are doing something I'm not, though, how can I take what I'm doing to the next level?

Don't do it by email. Start showing you're paying attention to them in twitter, facebook, their blog, G+.

This could be a big improvement in my link building. What's some of the things you might say in that first "relationship building" email?
And I'm zeroing in on people in the marketing/communications/public relations departments, you send them an email to build relationships?

If it's your business, maintaining a perspective/persona of someone who's truly interested your topic/market means getting out and networking, shaking hands, introducing yourself, handing out business cards, advertising, writing, publishing, proselytizing,--I don't think those things, or marketing your product is necessarily an ulterior motive. If it's for a client and you're not able to do that, you need to hire someone who can or you're selling the client short.

One question, if I don't right away ask if they need help with content, I feel like I'm being dishonest. How do you open a conversation about something else and not feel like you have a hidden agenda?

If you're crafting good content in your niche, don't make your intro to publishers a pitch for a guest post--introduce yourself in some other way and after the relationship has started, then open the discussion of sharing a post on their blog. You should already have a number of publisher identified as influencers in your niche and you should be interacting with them socially (retweeting, sharing, commenting their content). Make the investment of getting to know them and show them that you respect their content and their audience and you'll have a much better chance at getting them to do the same for you.

I wouldn't use the word "guest post", try and keep it as natural as possible. As soon as a webmaster sees the word "guest post", their spam flags might be raised and your email will have an increased chance of being trashed.

Indexed Pages Different when I perform a "site:Google.com" site search - why?
My client has an ecommerce website with approx. 300,000 URLs (a lot of these are parameters blocked by the spiders thru meta robots tag). There are 9,000 "true" URLs being submitted to Google Search Console, Google says they are indexing 8,000 of them. Here's the weird part - When I do a "site:website" function search in Google, it says Google is indexing 2.2 million pages on the URL, but I am unable to view past page 14 of the SERPs. It just stops showing results and I don't even get a "the next results are duplicate results" message." What is happening? Why does Google say they are indexing 2.2 million URLs, but then won't show me more than 140 pages they are indexing? Thank you so much for your help, I tried looking for the answer and I know this is the best place to ask!

Can adding "noindex" help with quality penalizations?
Hello Moz fellows, I have another question about content quality and Panda related penalization. I was wondering this: If I have an entire section of my site that has been penalized due to thin content, can adding "noindex,follow" to all pages belonging to that section help de-penalizing the rest of the site in the short term, while we work to improve those penalized pages, which is going to take a long time? Can that be considered a "short term solution" to improve the overall site scoring on Google index while we work to improve those penalized pages, and, once ready, we remove the "noindex" tag? I am eager to know your thoughts on this possible strategy. Thank you in advance to everyone!

980 links from 75 domains and Graded "A" on Moz Page Grader-- still not ranking for our term. Thoughts?
A few additional interesting details: A blog post we wrote with the same keyword ranks 8, but this page does not crack the top 20. Crazy competitive term-- top SERP are from HBR, Entrepreneur and Inc. We use Instapage as landing page builder-- could this effect our rankings? URL is not a subdomain Pretty stumped over here. Google's Stance on "Hidden" Content
Hi, I'm aware Google doesn't care if you have helpful content you can hide/unhide by user interaction. I am also aware that Google frowns upon hiding content from the user for SEO purposes. We're not considering anything similar to this. The issue is, we will be displaying only a part of our content to the user at a time. We'll load 3 results on each page initially. These first 3 results are static, meaning on each initial page load/refresh, the same 3 results will display. However, we'll have a "Show Next 3" button which replaces the initial results with the next 3 results. This content will be preloaded in the source code so Google will know about it. I feel like Google shouldn't have an issue with this since we're allowing the user action to cycle through all results. But I'm curious, is it an issue that the user action does NOT allow them to see all results on the page at once? I am leaning towards no, this doesn't matter, but would like some input if possible. Ranking of Moz "A" grade page.
Hello, I built a site in Weebly recently and it was indexed by Google and the one page in fact ranked #1 for one keyword. I used absolutely no SEO optimization techniques for this. It then rapidly dropped out of sight (not surprising ). I have now optimized the site in general and specifically the page www.insolvencylifeline.co.za/voluntary-sequestration-process as recommended by Moz. All the optimization was on-page, except that I also used the SEOProfiler tool to submit the site to their list of search engines recommended and I manually linked to a number of reputable directories. I did this on 09/03. If I search for www.insolvencylifeline.co.za/voluntary-sequestration-process I can see the page has been cached on 10/3. However,if I search for any of my 3 search terms for example "voluntary sequestration" and then do an advanced search for "insolvencylifeline", I only get search results for pages cached before 9/3. My page www.insolvencylifeline.co.za/voluntary-sequestration-process which I know is fully optimized (“A” Moz grade) for the search term, does not rank at all. Also if I search for www.insolvencylifeline.co.za, I can see that the page also was cached on 10/3. However, it does not show www.insolvencylifeline.co.za/voluntary-sequestration-process at all and the other pages shown were all cached before 9/3. Does this mean that the page www.insolvencylifeline.co.za/voluntary-sequestration-process does not rank at all even though it is indexed? If so, any thoughts on why? Regards, Gerhard.

Expired Content
Hi We have a listing website that has a huge amount of listings.These listings are changing all time, they become passive or deleted. We would like to choose the response code for the passive for deleted pages. Which response type must we use ? Redirect to last category with 301 Give 410 Gone response code Give 404 Response code which option would we choose ? and any ideas ?
