Hi Edmond
You'd be able to use the copy without any problems, but you won't be able to rank for it specifically. If that's not an issue, then read on.
What I would do is add a canonical tag on your page back to the original press release. You can read up on canonical tags here in this Moz guide.
So say the press release is at this URL: http://www.pressreleasecompany.com/yourpressrelease
You can take the press release and publish it on your own page, such as: http://www.yourdomain.com/yourpressrelease
On your webpage, you would need to have the following code in the section of your HTML:
rel="canonical" href="http://www.pressreleasecompany.com/yourpressrelease" />
With that bit of code, you are letting Google know that you have taken the press release from elsewhere and that the original copy can be found there. You are using the copy just to feature and add user experience to your website, and not to try and rank for any terms.
Google will acknowledge the tag and will not penalise you (or reward you) for using the duplicate copy. I think it's also a good idea to include a brief introduction to where the press release came from and what it is about before using the copy, just to show that you are citing your source.
With those steps, you will be fine in mentioning external press releases about your company on your own site without risking being penalised. Always a good idea not to overdo it, but with the canonical tag you won't be seen as duplicating content for nefarious or ranking means.
Hope this helps.

How do I stop someone from hijacking my site?
I had lost a lot of search engine rankings & it almost put me out of business. I worked a lot on the site in April and in May my sales rebounded 37%+ almost back to where they typically are. I have blamed Panda and saw another Panda update in May and my traffic is declining again. Today I happened to decide to check what pages were being indexed and I also noticed that when I published an update this morning it said the page "<cite class="_Zd">www.cheaptubes.com/index2.asp</cite>" exists on the destination server but not in current site and it asked if I wanted to delete it. I said no at the time but am going to delete it right after this question. I went to google & put "site:cheaptubes.com" into the search. My website has about 50 pages but google has "About 2,160 results" @ 10X per page. The first four pages are mostly my pages but I noticed even on the first page, 3rd result was for Nike shoes and it isn't my site. Someone has hacked my site and put up over 21,000 pages! That must be the real reason behind my website problems, right? How do I stop this from happening again? Is this having the negative effect that I fear it is?

We are contemplating whether to put a blog on our site.
The reasons we want to put one up is obviously for SEO reasons but since we are a small business with limited resources the higher ups are worried that we will start strong but slack off. Some feel that it's worse to start and not keep up the blog as it gives an unprofessional vibe to google and other users. I maintain that I will try to keep it up to the best of my abilities and that it's better to have something than nothing. What do you feel and do you have any experiences in this?

Can I share share my content with other sites either as a individual post or RSS or will I be encourage duplicate content on the web and upset Google
Hi, I have a new site http://www.homeforbusiness.co.uk. I want to encourage traffic to the site by sharing some of my content with other related websites which have a higher PR ranking and traffic for a link to my site. Is this going to upset Google re-duplicate content and devalue my site and stop any organic rankings in the future? Equally some high PR sites which have a good synergy with mine such as http://thewomensbusinessclubs.com/ allow me to add my RSS feed with their blog network. Is this a good thing to do or not for the same reasons as above? Or can I only do the above my creating fresh content? Thanks, Elizabeth Conley

I want to remove some pages from my site with PR, what should I do with traffic?
I have a section of a site that I want to remove. It has a main page linked from the nav menu, and a half dozen subpages under that. The pages get some traffic and have ranks up to PR3, which is what my site's home page is. I'm no longer want to do these pages as they require tremendous upkeep and I'm not interested in keeping them going. So, I know if I just remove these pages and that's all, I'm going to pay for it somewhere with Google. What else should I do? I do't really have similar pages to direct them too.

Publishing on sites with greater domain authority
Hello, I had an idea, probably not original: While my website is still gaining domain authority, I was thinking about publishing articles in a website with great domain authority that allows articles from third parties. This way the article's relevance + domain authority of the site would result in a better position on Google for the article I write and with proper links, I can attract people to my website. This would be a temporary strategy until my website's domain authority increases. Any suggestions on how to do this? Where can I publish articles to attract people to my website (except blogs)? Thanks a lot.
